So, first update is out and there is a nav mesh, but your followers can't go everywhere in this area. If you are interested in easter eggs, than you will have to search. Here is a hint: Arrow to the knee...
Would it be possible to have a letter or olotap reminding me it there or some sort of questline to lead me to it so I don't forget about it?? until I get the lockpicking perk. map mark would me nice too.
ok where to start. its lovely but theres too many problems for it to work. the main being that your grass is in every interior cell i go into at about head level. some interior cells have totally disappeared. second, this may be just me, but it lags the hell out of my game when i go inside places. basically, your mod ruined every interior cell for me. also the house is sunken. nice touch though with the lake.
1. It is an own worldspace, so you cant fast travel straight ro the vallay (maybe I will change this, but for now not) 2. It is an own worldspace, so fast travel marker should not work 3. that should be just you. There should be no problem with removing rocks or something (it looks only ugly^^)
I play with mods, but most of them don't touch building stuff or something, but I've not changed parts of those mods, usually it should be compatible with most mods on nexus.
I was all ready to see how beautiful the screenshots would be and giggled to myself when I noticed the 'visitor' in the first photograph just hanging out. xD Lovely looking mod, I will say. c:
I recently looked into this myself, and the most useful resources I found were the mod authors behind Scrap Everything. There appears to be some inherent bugs in the current method that people use, but they're gradually being ironed out by different methods that authors are coming up with, as well as Bethesda fixing the bugs on their end. Two posts I advise you check out are:
https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4094110-scrap-list/#entry37523485 and https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3527530-scrap-everything/page-59#entry36109915
What can obviously help even further is downloading the Scrap Everything mod and checking it out in FO4Edit. Overall it's pretty simple to implement once you know how to do it, the downside being that it would be incredibly tedious to create a mod the size of Scrap Everything. Creating scrap lists for a mod like yours shouldn't be much of a hassle (relatively speaking), especially given that you would have been the one that placed all of the objects, which makes parts of the job much easier.
If you make it editable, will it then cause the Cell Reset bug? I don't mind because I use "Buildable Power Armor" and only use player-crafted containers, so there's that, but others might mind, and turn them off it.
And yes, god, yes, give us a "Workshop" version! I would love to build there, and edit stuff, and scrap it, and build new stuff, or just make myself a tiny little cottage, and just chill...
Cell reset bug shouldn't come. For the moment, I don't know how to make everything editable, so there is an alternate version without the house. But in future I think there will come the answer and I will make a new updated version.
In workshop mode, you can build whatever you want. The only problem could be space, but some of the flora is scrapable. Mostly deadwood.
I have my eyes on a new mod, but I will try to make this better with the time. It is not the last version

only the house - i dont have a floor... only grass... i upload a picture
1) My map have no markers when I'm IN the valley... Is that just me, intended, or a bug?
2) Even after having placed a fast travel marker I still can't fast travel into the place. Is that just me, intended, or a bug?
3) I've got Spring Cleaning and Place Everywhere, and if I accidentally try to move terrain I CTD. Is that just me, intended, or a bug?

Ad. 3: I'll just not... CTD on purpose

Is it possible to get an alternative version without the House. a clean version?
