I'll be honest, love this mod along with all the work that had gone into it, it's one of the few mods I can't stand playing without. though it hasn't felt fight with me that there was so much extra work done for this that still remains unimplemented and it just sad to hear. maybe one day all that work would be added but considering the last time this was updated was back in 2016, I sadly doubt it. regardless of that, It still remains a great mod that I absolutely love using and can't live without. wandering the Commonwealth doesn't feel right without WRVR playing in the background or without Casey watching my back. It all implements itself so well that without it, something feels like it's missing. Thank you for this mod and all the work that went into it. It's one I'll never forget.
This means a lot to me. Thank you so much. I really mean it. The rest of the story was pretty cool, and I might have videos of prototype scenes and missions that were never finalized. It would be cool to share if I can find them. Thank you again for the kind words.
It's absolutely one of my favorite mods as well! I remember it being the only working companion mod on ps4 and always sacrificing my game stability and achievements for it lol. It was worth it.
this mod is frequently in my crash log as a suspect when i talk to a vendor and the game crashes, any chance there can be a patch for that? i love this mod and don't want to play without it
I NEED more! Please, more Casey! I love her radio and her voice.
Sheffield has his Nuka Cola, Sierra does too, but I have my WRVR. I love the music selection, the great commentary - it all works together so well!
That aside, the mod has deleted references - these are known to cause crashes. Please fix these issues so I can enjoy Casey and her radio without risk of crashes.
Been years since I played Fallout 4, with my old Xbox One, and one of the first mods was this. When I went back playing the game when I was in a post apocalyptic mood the other week and got me a new gaming PC, the WRVR mod is one of the first mods I immediate downloaded before starting the game and it's still one of my favorite Fallout 4 mods of all time. Still holds up and love that Casey has unique dialogues in certain places, like with Vault 81, and the extra NPCs.
Thank you so much!!! That means so much to me. Thank you for trying this out and sticking with it. I'm so glad I was able to add something extra to your experience <3
I am kind of interested in the mod, for the companion more than the radio, though it would be nice to actually be able to hear the guys in the station, always struck me as odd that it was not something you could tune in to, since it was a manned, broadcasting, station.
So I kind of have some questions.
Does Casey have:
*Affinity? I feel that adds some depth to the experience, I do not feel that a follower should EVER influence you absolutely... as in one should ever leave, if you do X thing... say kill someone or destroy a certain faction.... but they SHOULD have things they like and do not like, and be a lot harder to win over if you do the latter. Likewise, it feels great when you bond almost instantly with a follower, after just a few hours in game, without even trying, because your natural playstyle meshes almost perfectly with their personality, morals and character.
*Romance? Again, whilst I know not even vanilla all companions have this... though between here and LL, that is not really true..... but since multiple follower mods are... hit or miss, in F04... because of everything from compatibility, to the actual engine limits, unless you bring a follower along who doesn't use the slot, you are solely relying on love to blossom between you and the companion, to get that sweet sweet boost from sleeping together. Very hard to bring along anyone who does not offer that, over someone who does (once I max affinity and get the perk from Deacon, Strong, Valentine and Longfellow, they are exiled from my side for the rest of my games, which can go much longer than just the Vanilla story, for that very reason.... put out or be cast out I say :P ).
*Quest/NPC/Location/Action awareness? I think this is essential. One could maybe handle being with a true neutral sociopath who was wholly indifferent to anything and everything you did or did not do. One might grudgingly let someone who was not an option for post apocalyptic poking tag along for ride, especially if they had affinity and thus a perk, if they kicked butt, and had some cool feature, like medic, merchant... or ... in this case... bad comedian. But for the immersion which comes with a new perspective, that cool third party commentary about this or that, place X, person Y, mission Z. But even with affinity, a perk and really well conceived, romantic, or just plain nasty in a good way Romance arc, like Heather Casdin, or Companion Ivy, lacking any real awareness of the world, or anyone in it, outside the moments with you? Sort of feels like you have your own imaginary friend along for the ride, and not a real companion journeying with you.
*Tracking/Summoning/Home Assignment? I mean, these are critical. Any one of them is. All three are better. Though summoning is best, then tracking, then base assignment, if one can only have one. Even with the very best story arc, long and deep, multi-tier dialogue trees, complex affinity, epic romance arc, and deep, perceptive, funny, emotional quest awareness.... a follower that can get lost, almost always will.... so totally can :P ....
....I already DL'ed this mod... but nothing is said about anything like the above, and none of the videos now work, so I thought I should pop back here and ask this before I activate it.
If you haven't noticed, the mod hasn't been updated in 7 years. I think it would be safe to say that this is an abandoned mod. It was a great idea with no follow through. The radio station does work fine and is cool to listen to, but the companion portion was never finished. There is also a problem with the mod causing frequent game crashes when you enter the cell location of WRVR. If you use this mod for the radio station, make sure you save before getting close to the building.

Did you use a mod manager or manually install?
Are the three WRVR files in your data folder?
Is the esp activated in your mod manager?

I just stumbled across the trapdoor and David Kessler inside saying"Casey, what are you doing here?"
Is this part of the WRVR mod?
So I kind of have some questions.
