I've completely rewritten the mod from scratch, including a new esp. I haven't encountered any issues updating my own saves to the new version, but I can't account for every scenario. I recommend following these instructions to minimise any issues: 1) back up your saves 2) uninstall the mod from the in-game settings menu 3) save your game 4) disable or delete the mod 5) load your game 6) save your game 7) install the new version of the mod 8) ? 9) profit
In practice you can just update the mod and everything should work. But if you do run into issues I recommend trying the above.
If you run into any other issue, please reply below, or submit a bug report.
On version numbering: I've opted to restart the version numbering, starting with v2.0. I originally was trying to match the Bethnet version with the one here, but Bethnet will hopefully soon have custom versioning so I've opted to restart the version number.
>It seems the mod doesn't work on the steam deck. It loads because I can see the save button to the right of the sleep button but when I press X to save it doesn't save the game. I'm using the same mods that I use in my PC and there it works properly.
Affecting me too. Not a controller thing as I just tested that
Great idea for a mod, it's even more balanced than the balanced quicksave mod. finding beds is still now valuable.
problem is... now you can save scum. quicksave before you need to sleep. and reload the auto save just in case you accidentally caught herpes from the mattress. rinse and repeat to sleep disease free.
which, actually kinda makes sense... i mean, i just built the damn thing, why is it covered in herpes?!
I was hoping to use this mod in combination with Sleep or Save Fixes to maybe cure the "no save bug" with Sanguinaire vampire mod but when I use the Save-O and close the Pipboy it does nothing.

The Option to save in any bed keeps resetting in the MCM menu every time I leave that screen. It worked for 2 seconds when I first installed the mod but quickly stopped. The other MCM menu options work fine and don't reset. I can only save in beds I own no matter if i reset the mod through the MCM.
I don't know if this will be a viable option for you, but you can allready use beds to save in survival without wasting an hour of daylight (still chance of sickness tho) if you just choose to "sleep" for 1 hour, but then interrupt that hour. The game will still autosave, but time will not pass. To my knowledge this has been possible in vanilla survival for a long time. The increased overall chance of sickness is just an added "hardcore" feature IMO
I've created a fix for this issue, and added an option to use full saves instead of autosaves. I'm waiting for permission from the mod author to release the fix, but for now, if anybody wants the fix for it, PM me and I'll share the esp & script with you.
EDIT 6/20/22: So far, two people have reached out. I'm still active on Nexus so if you want my tweaks, you can still PM me!
PSA! To people new here, it seems there are two issues...
The full save option is unavailable
The save at unowned beds option reverts eachtime it's changed in MCM so it seems it doesn't work for private beds
... otherwise seems to work ok. had some corruption when changing cells rapidly and not allowing the "Autosaving..." to complete. After giving it a second it works for me. Wish the full save options was available, would be a dream come true! If anyone knows another mod that does that lmk please!

@GrankNutt4 nah, you can't sleep in owned bed so this workaround doesn't work.
