Question, I use your mod, but Walls, doorways and windows don't adopt the new texture...reasons why? possible fixes?

I love the color palette here. While the vanilla scheme could be arguably more lore-friendly, some people, myself included, love being able to build clean and aesthetic settlements. While I really want to use this mod, I've gotten so used to building with all the added concrete building variants found in G2M. Are there any plans to potentially slap these colors onto his models? I realize it's probably not likely given how much work would be needed, but CCS and G2M seem like a perfect match to compliment a robust toolset for concrete building in the game.

Vanilla isnt lore friendly. If you make concrete it will be pristine no matter where you are, you arent scraping concrete, you are making it

My Chihuahua made a boulderpoo once... MASSIVE green areas and one boulder in the middle... It just lunges toward the stone and made a splatter poo all over it. Had to use Kleenex and throw out a piece of more expensive than normal cloth for the car, just to wipe the dog clean and not have poo all over the interior XD

It always frustrated me that even newly created things look like ruins, with no justification whatsoever other than that it fits with the blasted wasteland aesthetic. To me, the new settlements you're building should help serve as a contrast to the ruins of the rest of the world – places where people care enough about their homes and civic structures (and are prosperous enough to afford the extra attention to things that aren't strictly about survival) to keep them clean and well-maintained. These things don't have to be fancy-looking, either – they just have to look like they're being taken care of.

This mod conflicts with SnappyStep, which I can no longer live without. Here's the quick and dirty way to make it work:

    • First, make sure this mod loads BEFORE Snappy Step. If you do nothing else, everything will work fine at this point, except the concrete small steps will be the dirty nasty textures (but snapping will work).
    • Go into your Fallout4 folder and into Data\Materials\Interiors\building
    • WIth this mod active, you should see a file called "CleanWall.BGSM" there
    • Make a COPY of this file. Rename the COPIED file to "BldConcreteWall01.BGSM"
    • Your Snappy Steps will be nice and clean in the color of your choice :)

This is the QUICK AND DIR- well LESS DIRTY way to clean your steps. The reason for this is that the Material path is baked into the .NIF of the steps. A more involved fix would be to alter the Snappy Step NIF to point to a new material file directly, and to name it something unique like "CleanSteps.BGSM" - the only reason you'd want to bother with that, is that we just replaced a Vanilla texture and so objects in the world might suddenly be using it where you do not expect. But doing the above steps will immediately clean your steps, if you want to try it and see that it's all working right for you.

I will probably do it the right way and alter the Snappy Steps .NIF as soon as I find something that looks wrong :) if you want to do it that way, you'll need a tool called NifScope. And remember, don't be afraid to break your SnappySteps trying it - you can always reinstall the mod if you *censored* it up, it's a small file.

If i bother to do that, I will probably also clean up the metal framing. If so I will come back and provide the file :)

Not sure if this has been posted here but, Stackable DLCs Foundations and this mod conflicts. If you want cleaner concrete with no intention of snapping or stuff, have Cleaner Concrete load/replace files first. I learned my lesson the hard way when i installed the stackable dlc foundations mod. All my concretes look dirty again
    :(

No idea who took a dump on the concrete while crafting it, what the hell is that?! Gotta ask Nick to investigate that.

Hello, I haven't played FO4 for a while indeed hence why I don't update the mod anymore and don't check on the comments as often as I used to.
Could you tell me exactly what doesn't work with the mod ? It's essentially a replacer, with the .esp being only to force the retexture on the concrete automatic doors.

I am not using CleanPoweredDoors.esp, but the textures are working fine. I think maybe the OP hasn't realized that Vortex does this during install sometimes. The version I tested was the lighter grey version. If you want this to work Gary, try using another installer or install it manually. Maybe even try to uninstall with Vortex and reinstall with Vortex. I don't use Vortex but I have heard others mention this as a possible solution.

Hey is it possible to get a patch for G2M workshop? Would love to use the two together. Right now having G2M installed makes the vanilla concrete walls the same color, but some other pieces your color. Also all of G2M pieces are the dirty concrete. Have a great day!

For some reason this is only working on my concrete doors and not the walls, even though the nif files for both are in the same folder. Any idea why this is the case? Thanks.

I still haven't found a fix. It's a shame as I'd love to install this and a lot of people must know the answer! I know that there is only an esp file for the doors in the mod folder but if that was the issue then everyone would be having this problem! :)
