    If you're having a problem with dropped items not appearing in the world, that means the scripts aren't firing and is an install problem that I cannot address. Vortex/NMM and even Mod Organizer can cause this problem if mods are installed on a separate drive than where the game is installed.

    Version 1.0.2 is now cleanly packed into BA2 archives and should address this problem.

    F.A.Q. / COMMON ISSUES (PLEASE READ)

    • You gotta DROP the items from your inventory to use them! Was the only way to do it without F4SE.

    • If you're using crafting mods / overhauls that move items out of the Chem Station into their own crafting stations, you will have to figure out where that is on your own, as I have no control or insight into your load order.  Crafting recipes use keywords, so these types of overhauls will affect all mods, and I can't track down what each crafting/hardcore/etc. does with recipes.

    • As of v1.0.2 the "Adventures in Camping" book is no longer required to craft the Workshop objects. Better late than never.

    • As of v1.0.3 Campsite sleeping bags and tents are now fully functional with Survival Mode.  You will get no diseases sleeping on a Campsite sleeping bag or tent, and you will receive the Well-Rested perk anywhere in the wild.  You can sleep as long as you want in any of the tents/sleeping bags.

    • Sometimes telling a companion to sleep in a tent, they'll say "I can't do that" because they think it's obstructed. Just try a few times and they'll get it. I'm working on refining the entry points so they don't get confused.

    • If you add items to your inventory via the console, do them one at a time!!! For example, if you were going to cheat and add 20 of fire kits to your inventory, DON'T do player.additem [xxxxxxx] 20 instead add ONE at a time (press UP to repeat the command if you like.) Why? There's a long-standing issue with Beth games where items added in groups via the console share the same reference ID. What this means in non-tech talk is that if you drop a fire kit, it will just hover in the air and not light, because it doesn't have an ID the script can work with. Add one thing at a time (or craft 'em, ya cheater!)

    • The way that these items work, they 'transform' when dropped from your inventory. There's a funny side effect that if you again, use the console, to remove them, they will act like you dropped them. The best way to get rid of items is to put them into a container. I'm working on letting you scrap them in the wild if you're TRULY done and need some components.

    • You can store stuff in the cooking pot while it's placed (vanilla functionality, I can't change that so far) but if you pick it up, all of your items stored in it will vanish. That's expected. Don't use it as a container!!  Future versions will address this.

    • If you want to remove Well-Rested from the sleeping bags and tents, you can remove the CampingKit_WellRested keyword from the items in xEdit.

    Hey Fading I have a question for you for this mod, you see I also use the mod "Companions also need to eat and sleep". You see I am bit unsure if your DogBed for Dogmeat counts under this mod, to help Dogmeat relieve its fatigue. That mod allows you to spawn a dog matress for Dogemeat so that he can sleep. So it can be semi circumevented but I would like to know if your dog bed counts under that mod or if a patch needs to be made to make it work.

    Your sleeping bags seems to work for the normal companions.

      Thank you for the response. I think I can make this patch maybe myself if I finally understand how the Companions need to eat and sleep mod works. Gonna try to contact that mod author to see if I can get some better understanding.

    So as much as i love this mod and is critical for immersion.

    Its such a shame i cant crouch and actually enter my pole tent? coupled with a 'Sit anywhere' mod i have; and i could actually sit inside my tent and watch the storm from within..whats not to like.!

      That would complete the mod for sure. Im not sure if the basic plastic throw over tent is possible, but the single pole tent i have, is only blocking you via the flaps, if they were cut back to the poles i could crouch > walk in > sit down and watch the storm go by.

      Coupled with a burning fire in front off the tent and I'd pop a real beer or two and stick the radio on for an hour each night !!!!

    It would be awesome if this mod had also custom portable crafting benches for weapons and armor, scrapping and modding things on the go could be a nice way to make a nomad playthrough actually viable.

    Hate to bug you again Fading, but I'm trying to add several of your mods to the VR version. Got your weather working great along with backpack and Beretta. I tried adding campsite since you have listed that it's VR friendly but it will not activate in game. Have about 25 mods working great so far. Here is load order.
    Thanks for any help you can give. BTW mobile mechanic works also. Just tested. Campsite just won't add to chem station menu.

      Hi! What do you mean by "not activate"? The mod is really simple under the hood so I don't know why it wouldn't work with VR.

      Doesn't show up in chem station menu but portable workbenches do. Also went to the small basement in sanctuary where the one book usually is and it's not there. Tried different load orders which I know don't matter. Ya like you said a simple drop in folder and activate esp. Been doing this a long time and it can't get easier than you made it. So strange.

      The book is no longer required as of a couple versions ago - I removed it because it was causing too much grief with disappearing and such.

      That's strange that the recipes aren't showing up. What happens if you type help camping 0 in the console?  See anything?  If not then the mod isn't activating for some reason.

      Ya it's a head scratcher. No reason it shouldn't work. Everything else in the plugin works. FYI I also tried on a fresh install with only campsite installed and also didn't work.

      Can anyone else verify they got this mod to work in VR. That might give me some hope to keep trying. Really want to use this in my play through.

      I still don't understand why VR could/would just disable a single plugin like this. Hoping for some other input from folks.

      Hey Fading figured it out. The version number in the file header in the .esp has to be changed from 1.000000 to 0.950000
      A simple fix with fo4edit. Read some other mods had changed that version number. Your mod shows up in game now. Just thought you would like to know that. Will test and see if all components are working.

      UPDATE: Yep all has been working great. Looks amazing in VR.

    I have the mod installed, I'm currently playing in Survival mode and every time I use the campsite bed I don't get my well-rested perk. I have also survival options mod installed too and still don't get the full-rested perk. I only get a maximum of 3 hours

    Not sure what I'm missing, but I can't get Dog Meat to sleep on the dog bed. Don't get any command to tell him to go there. Anyone having the same issue?

    Now that is a “quality of life” mod right there 🥹😊

    I have the Liga of my Companions installed which is a multiple companions framework. Will this have any issues with this?

    What exact workbench are the items in with Armor and Weapon Keywords installed? I'm having a hard time finding the "Other" Category.
