This mod is exactly what this game needs! But having an issue when light restores after leaving interior it cant be put out again when returning to interior. Any fix for this? (I have the mod at the end of my load order)

I'll certainly look into this issue when I have the time - unfortunately my PhD dissertation is getting close to being finished and I have to devote the majority of my time to that for the foreseeable future. Once I finish that (probably in three months or so) then I can come back to look at the mod.

I can confirm the existance of this issue: lighting-fixtures can no longer be destroyed if it has been destroyed once before and then reset by leaving the cell.
I have tried the following steps to hot-fix: moving to a different cell, saving, exiting the game and reloading; no effect. This was done on a clean save, but with an ENB active.

PS: congratulations on that PhD (or if you are anything like me, wish you well during these trying months of finishing your PhD)

I'm working on getting my game up and running on PC, but I have been using your Mod "Reneer's Close That Door Mod" on XB1 and you have saved me so much time and made my game so much better and easier when in build mode. I just works, and OH SO well... Thank You...

I'm looking forward to your update on this mod, as it does add to the game, and makes stealth, stealth again and much more real, like many other games I will not name here.

Thank you for making and sharing your hard work. :)

I'd like to chime in because of a recent discovery I made.

I was getting random CTD's in Fallout 4 and I'm troubleshooting it for weeks, if not months without a breakthrough.
Recently Kinggath posted a video about troubleshooting CTD's when updating mods.
I followed his tips and I was getting about 300 instances of RenLight... entries in "Active Scripts" as he explains in the video: -snip-

I removed all instances and disabled Destructible Light Mods and it hasn't crashed since.
We'll see if it stays that way. Maybe I'll re-enable the mod later on.

Edit: After watching kinggath's video, it is looking like I'm going to have to refactor some code. These issues were not known when I started working on this mod, unfortunately. The below writeup is thus no longer relevant, aside from the timeframe probably getting even longer since I'll have to come up with an even more clever design.

Thank you for posting this. It was (and now is again) an issue that I had thought I fixed previously. Basically what is happening is that the mod must, on first entering an interior cell, search for every light object (the lightbulb) and every light source (the invisible object that actually emits light) in order to associate each light source with their respective light object, so that when the player shoots the light object, all the light sources turn off. It is, unsurprisingly, a complicated bit of code and sometimes it could overwhelm the Papyrus scripting system (if there are too many light sources / light objects in an interior cell) which causes the game to crash (instead of the more logical choice of Papyrus simply ignoring the function calls). The problem is that everyone's computer setup is different and some might handle it just fine (like mine was) while others, even if they have similar specs, might not. The trick is finding the right balance between speed and system integrity, which I thought I had accomplished but apparently had not.

I'm thinking of a way to mitigate this problem by using a function lock so that only X light sources are worked on in a given Papyrus frame - but this fix might not be forthcoming for a while and I'm sorry for the inconvenience. If you or others are having CTD issues I would recommend that you disable this mod and see if that fixes the problem, since I don't have the time to work on this mod for the foreseeable future because of my PhD work.

Are the light in good neighbours triggerman warehouses covered with this , I've hit a couple of lanterns and a safety work light and they didnt go off ?

It should, if those are interior spaces. I'll check when I have some time.
