I'm a big fan of "New Calibers" and the DOOMBASED weapons as well as your Ammo conversion mods for some of his standalone weapons. So when I had nearly acquired all of DOOM's weapons I figured I'd go for his merged weapons ESP but much to my dismay I lost the Desert Eagle Ammo mod you had created and the Rhino mod as well. So I'm hoping that you might see fit to make a patch for fellas like me that are SOL right now on account of that change. Love the work you do and the support you give us for the weapons we love with the patches for New Calibers. Thanks a bunch...!!!

I believe BrowncoatGarrus (Creator of New calibers) is working on a patch for Doom's Merged Weapon mod.

The only thing I have noticed is the double entries in the crafting station for the different caliber types. Other than that, it does what it's supposed to. Thank You.

The double entries are on purpose. Caliber conversion can be done using the Barrel sets and conversion kits from New Calibers with Gun Nut rank 1, or with Gun Nut rank 4 you can craft them with scrap. This requires separate crafting entries for the two different recipes. It is similar to the caliber conversion system used in Weaponsmith Extended 2.

That explains the different recipes, not a problem for me but rather an observation. Thank you for the update

Thanks for letting me know. I'll work on getting an updated version up within a week. I may also add a few more caliber options based on what is available for the Desert Eagle in WSE2.

The updated Desert eagle has caliber conversion on its own separate mod slot, Actually makes the updated NC patch easier to make as I was wanting to switch to that system. So far the plans for the new patch are to have the .50 caliber changed to use .50AE and swaping the .38 caliber to the .357magnum. Also plan on adding a few more calibers, like .45LC and .454 Casull. I am adding multiple crafting recipes based on the system used in WeaponSmith Extended 2. Using Barrel sets and Conversion kits added in New Calibers V3, only requiring Gun Nut rank 1, and build from scrap recipes requiring Gun Nut rank 4. I plan on eventually updating all my New Caliber patches to use this system.

If anyone is interested I also have a mostly-completed Patch for the Defense Gun with 9mmLugar, 9x18Makarov, .32ACP, .380ACP, 45ACP and a few others I can't remember at the moment, I just need to add the multi-teir crafting recipes, maybe tweak balancing and it is done.

I am going to create a new page to host all my New Caliber Patches in one place soon. Easier to keep track of one mod page then having separate pages for each patch.

Hit there, thanks so much for doing this, as soon as I saw the Doom's Desert eagle I was very excited (I love pistols but they always end up underpowered endgame). My immediate complaint was, " Desert Eagles come in .44, and I have all this .44 ammo I dont use since I hate revolvers and nothing else shoots it, WTF." So I really appreciate you doing this.

I do however have a small request:
Would you please consider including in your files the .44 receiver as an independent download? My goal is to avoid getting New Calibers (No offense to Brown Coat but I really don't want to flood my game with dozens of new calibers I will never use, I have so many ammo types I don't touch as is) since I never had much interest in lowering the Desert Eagle's power that much by making it .357 anyway, and .44 already exists in the game.

I believe more people would be interested in this file if it didn't require New Calibers just to use 1 of the 2 receiver options. I can only speak for myself but the DEagle is at this point the only new gun I'm even modding into the game, so New Calibers is just a waste of space for me now.

Alternatively, if I download just your mod and not New Calibers, will I just be unable to use the .357 receiver or will this break things?
Edit: Tried this, the game loaded but following stabcops instructions to add the gun with console commands didn't work anymore.

Doom actually already has an optional .44 caliber version available. Version 1.0 of my patch actually required the optional .44 version from Doom.

Alternatively it is Very easy to change the default ammo for any weapon using FO4Edit. Just 2 days before releasing the first version of this patch I had no idea how to use FO4Edit.

Work on update 1.1 coming along nicely.
I've merged DEagleReceivers.esp and DesertEagle50AE.esp into a sinlge esp file. likely to brake .357 and .50AE receivers. recommend reintalling .44 receiver before updating.
.44 Caliber receivers labeled in Weapons Workbench mod menu.
Ammo Capacitys adjusted to match real-world counterparts.
adjusted recoil for larger calibers have more recoil.
as well as a few other small tweaks. I'll upload it soon.

Consider linking the mods required in the long description? It would make it just a touch more convenient.

Thank you for this awesome mod!

Nice. When I get home from work I am definitely downloading this.

I'm gonna add a link on my New Calibers page.

Thanks, I will likely be making more New Calibers patches as practice until I can start making my own weapon mods from scratch. I personally love your New Calibers mod and will fully support it when ever I can make my own weapon mods.
