About this mod

Radio station adds 36 classic blues songs from the 1920s-1930s

Delta Wasteland Radio, by AlanQSmithee
v.2

This mod adds a standalone radio station broadcasting from the southern Delta Wasteland near what was once New Orleans. It features 36 classic blues songs, largely from the 1920s and 1930s, and four station IDs by the DJ bot, M4-R4-NE (who really questions why she was programmed to be capable of feelin' the blues). New in v.2: an optional expansion adds another 38 songs and two station IDs. The expansion also implements randomization of all tracks -- if you want to skip to a different song, turn the station off and on again. Two or three songs will always be available at the same time to skip through this way.

Installation order: Both the original file (currently 1.000001) and then the expansion need to be installed to get all 80 tracks. It will replace the original esp and add 40 more sound files to the mod's radio directory. You can ignore the optional fix when you do this.

------

A note on quality: Effort was made to clean up any songs that hadn't already had the static removed by the riginal uploader so it should all sound pretty clear, and I listened to the station for a couple hours and it all sounded OK in game, but let me know if anything sounds unclear or too
quiet, repeats too often or never seems to play at all.

A note on family friendliness:
Early blues and jazz could be pretty raunchy. I've steered clear of those songs but there's still plenty of innuendo.

Playlist includes:
Blind Willie Johnson - If I Had My Way, God Moves on the Water, John the Revelator
Alberta Hunter - My Castle's Rockin', Boogie Woogie Swing
Leadbelly - Death Letter Blues, When I was a Coyboy,
Mamie Smith - My Sportin' Man, Do It Mr. So and So
Misissippi John Hurt - Got the Blues
Memphis Minnie - Chickasaw Train Blues, Shout the Boogie, Three Times Seven
Blues, New Dirty Dozen, Me and My Chauffeur Blues, I'm a Bad Luck Woman,
Killer Diller Blues
Ida Cox - Wild Women Don't Have the Blues
Furry Lewis - Furry's Blues
Coot Grant and Kid Wilson - Blue Monday on Sugar Hill

Artists added in the expansion include Mississippi John Hurt, Texas Alexander, Robert Johnson, Ethel Waters and Sam Collins.

------

Installation: Use NMM or, manually, unzip the file and drag and drop the Data folder (it contains a "DeltaRadio.esp" file and the songs nested in the
filepath you need) into your Fallout 4 directory. Do the same with the optional expansion -- if it asks, choose to replace the original "DeltaRadio.esp" with the new one

Uninstallation: Uncheck the .esp and delete the station songs.
