This mod changes how health and rads are restored to make the game more challenging while keeping combat fast paced and enjoyable.

You can't rely on stimpaks to get health back anymore. To get health back you'll have to either kill all the enemies or find some cover. Sorry rambo, spamming stimpaks won't cut it anymore.

Combat is faster paced and more enjoyable than survival difficulty because you can return to combat sooner. No more waiting in a corner for a full minute before returning to combat because lets face it, combat is more fun then sitting in a corner.

This mod also places a greater value on cooking food and removes the hassle of messing with RadAway constantly do deal with the games annoying Rad system. Which adds a bit of immersion in my opinion.

DETAILS
You now have to find some cover to get health back.
  • After avoiding damage for 10 seconds your health will automatically begin to restore and drain your stomach. 
  • Once started, Health regenerates quickly (10%/sec) but is interrupted by damage.

Wait, did you say stomach???
  • You now have a stomach!!! 
  • Eating or drinking (including from rivers/pumps/cannibalize) fills your stomach and your stomach is drained when you heal.
  • When your stomach is empty you will automatically consume food from your inventory.
  • Your stomach is filled when you become well rested. (so as not to remove healing from sleeping)

Food is consumed in the following prioritized order
  • Cooked - Food that has no rad side effect and is not used in crafting (Steaks, etc.)
  • Snack - Food that has rad side effects but is not used in crafting (Sugar Bombs, etc.)
  • Ingredient - Food that is used in crafting (raw meat, etc.)

Stimpaks are now very rare and meant for those "Oh shit!" moments so hold on to them until you really need them.
  • Stimpaks can only be obtained by crafting them.
  • All existing stimpaks have been replaced with IV Bags which are just a food item.
  • Stimpaks restoration speed is not slowed on SV difficulty. (This is because of how rare they are now)

RadAway Fluid levels are automatically consumed to reduce Rads
  • RadAway no longer has weight.
  • Rads are olny drained when not in radiation.
  • You can still manually use radaway if you are in radiation for a long period of time.

Perks that effect health and rad recovery have been altered
  • Life Giver Rank 3 now slowly fills your stomach instead of regenerating life.
  • Lead Belly Rank 1-2 now increase maximum stomach capacity.
  • Ghoulsih Ranks 1-3 now fill your stomach some when radiation is removed.
  • Solar Powered Rank 2 now makes radiation restoration not consume RadAway Fluid when in sunlight.
  • Solar Powered Rank 3 now slowly fills your stomach when in sunlight instead of regenerating life.
  • Medic perk still effects stimpaks normally and makes radaway have more fluid.

Random other changes
  • adjusted cooking recipes so that cooked food always restores more health than uncooked components
  • wild plants yield regular produce so that you can plant them.
  • The "You're injured" heart beat sound starts at a higher percentage of health so you know when to take cover.

INSTALLATION
Use NMM or just copy everything to the fallout 4 data folder and enable via any mod manager.
