Please tell me this will prevent the update. I really dont want to push play ever again once this update comes for Fallout 4. My game is FAR too delicate for another Bugthesda "update" ...

Is there a way you can make this config menu open up without pushing play on steam?

Used it through MO2 and it broke my resolution. Despite still being set to the correct resolution and fullscreen it's the wrong size now. Fallout 4 seems to hate ultra wides with a passion. You breath wrong and the resolution will break. Luckily I just copied over the default ini's in the documents and it still works. I'll just manually edit the ini from now on.

    WARNING!

BACKUP your ini's if you're going to use this.
It doesn't tweak your ini, it replaces it with its own version, erasing any and all previous edits you've done yourself.
Found this out the hard way.

Used this mod for years and years. No issues at all. People saying this broke their game probably did so themselves.

Oh yes, totally my fault when deleting the mod and everything having to do with it is what finally fixed my game  -_-

I've used this as a REPLACEMENT for the default launcher since it came out and never had a single crash caused by it. At all. Not once. 900+ hours of Fallout 4 on Steam. You definitely did something wrong.

Your assumption is incorrect. Some people know what they are doing, believe it or not.

      As per the main page:

      "How do I Uninstall?
First, to revert your INI back to default, go into Settings > Restore Backup INI.  If you're using
this app as your default launcher, also make sure to press "Click to
Restore Original Launcher". Then, simply delete this program."

This might be a redundant question (at work, don't have time to read the whole forum) but does this editor import your existing ini files (with existing changes) or does it start with clean ones? (i.e. do I have to remember all my old tweaks and re-do them after not playing/editing for over two years?)

MO2 users: click your drop down menu for profiles > click manage > uncheck "use profile-specific Game INI files". MO2 will now use the vanilla INI folder. Unless you're hardcore changing things for specific profiles, this will make your life easier running tools like this.

Remember to reselect Invalidate Archives in the Tweaks tab if it isn't highlighted or your mods won't work.

If you've messed up and didn't back up your INIs: go to Documents > My Games > Fallout4 and delete the INIs there. Launch the game from Steam to generate fresh INI files.

You need to post where the files are to remove this trash, It corrupts the whole system. It has to be in the registry, your full of sh't when you say it cannot be removed. Anything in a computer can be removed. It overclocked my cpu, screwed the color all up, I set nothing, but a few simple settings and it trashed my whole system. A shame because all those settings can be done without your garbage with 65 record breaking bugs. Advice to everyone, this does nothing that you can't do other ways and a good chance you will be reinstalling windows. Because he will not tell you where and under what name the malware is in your registry. Update....Removed and reinstalled game, I mean everything files and registry, it has cleared up. I guess it gets embedded in the game files and saves. Too bad it didn't work with my set up, it was cranking out at 1000--500 fps, lowest was 200. I mean everything was hauling *ss, had to use console to slow it down. Now 120 down to 60. But no color craziness. I will figure it out , but don't want to overclock, 10700k is expensive and runs at 30 ish Celsius now. I was a little harsh, if it works for someone , they will have a much better experience. I was throwing grenades like a machine gun....lol

It is well known in the modding community that certain ini settings will effect your game saves permanently in Bethesda games. Has nothing to do with this app. In the future be more careful with what you change and you will be a content user like the couple mil users using my various skyrim/fallout config editors

What I changed had nothing to do with my CPU, you need to be more specific about what each setting changes, I have the game running now at an almost constant 120 FPS, with just simple settings and the high physics mod. When I had your mod installed it worked, like super speed, but I think high end computer do not need a mod like yours. I know about the ini settings, that is why I deleted all of them and the saves. But it still was in my computer, I had to completely wipe the game, clean my registry, reset my CPU and reinstall everything. It was not just in the ini settings. Maybe the modding community needs to know that?
