At first I thought it was a re-imagined Wanamingo, (never seen Pitch Black or its spinoffs) Still could be explained in a lore friendly-ish way as a similar creature. one of the things I love about Fallout 4's modding possibilities is that because Animations are a lot easier to implement (with custom animations that don't replace vanilla ones) It can also allow for new creatures that ALSO have custom animations!
Still the hardest part (from what little I understand) are the Animations themselves? I seem to recall someone mentioning that animations are the hardest asset to create. Even if the Creation Kit allows non-replacer animations now.
I could be way off the mark on the animation front, I just noticed that Fallout 4 seems to have more custom, non-replacing weapon animations than practically all previous Bethesda games combined.
now if only we could get bugs to crawl along the walls and ceilings rather than idle there until dropping to the floor when they turn hostile. I was so excited when I first saw the radroaches on the walls in Vault 111 and was instantly disappointed when they all jumped off.
