God it looks so amazing, the quality on this is just of the charts.
edit: just one remark/question: from a physical perspective, I believe the shinguards go down a bit too far? I think like that they hinder when running, and could clip with the model when moving?
but that's just nitpicking, this stays realy f'ing amazing.
You've made some spectacular work on this armor, most impressive. But I still have to say, the helmet looks a bit off when looking at yours and the one from New Vegas side by side. Once again, most impressive work.
It's really amazing but the shin guards don't seem praticable when you squat, it will hurt your knees very badly because of the angle. The shin guards have to be close to the ankles but loose under the knees. Actually the opposite of what you did.
I know it's a detail but it's that kind of realistic detail which make a 3D design a good design, because it seem real.
Pretty much this. Also the reinforced arm guards looks way too bulky for what they should be too. Apart from these details, its an insanely well done piece of modeling\sculpting\texturing.
Got around to watching the twitch VoD where the guy made it - on the subject, he declared that would be the only problem in use, intentionally designed to deflect attacks with thrown weapons/blunt instruments to the shins and feet, sacrificing crouching as the plate would impact the toe. Similar reasons with the bulked up arm-guards i think, looking at it.
I suppose as it's pre-war riot armor most situations you'd be dealing with that, and if they were using full on firearms head/chest protection would be the priority, so all in all I'm pretty impressed. Watching it being made, even after the fact was quite interesting.
I believe that is because they still need to rig it properly to the skeleton. But I have minimal knowledge of this whole business, I'm just going off what I saw on the stream.

I would suggest a couple design tweaks here and there but I think it's at that point of no return
What is this, f*#@ing 3rd grade all over again?
