One last preview of the Plasma Defender before I release it for Fallout 4. Took me flipping' long enough. A bit of work to go on the rubber and plastic parts, but it's looking pretty good.

    How will it differ from the standard plasma gun? Will it have a more powerful shot? Or perhaps have the ability to charge up a shot? Maybe add ballistic damage as well as energy?

      It differs mainly in having higher critical damage and is more accurate in general. I'll probably make a mod that gives it the ability to charge up a shot.

    I've had this account for years and I can't remember once making a comment. I feel compelled to write one just to express my gratitude that this will finally be in Fallout 4, and how disappointed I am that it's not already in it. I mean the game's been out close to 2 years now!

    So glad to see this is on the final stretch. Plasma Defender is my fave plasma weapon.

    Can't wait to get one in-game.

      Right, I suggest you make it an unrecognizable lump of rust for the "realists" out there.

      I will, at the moment these are just base textures to get the initial look of the weapon before I weather it up.

    Seriously, I want this. Real bad. Because it looks amazing, and I hate the default plasma weapon. Is this going to be a replacer or a separate weapon?

      Separate. I hate the idea of replacing stuff that already works well in the game. The idea is that it will be a very hard to get weapon but once you get it it can work as essentially a high-tier plasma weapon. It'll have optional attachments to convert it into a carbine, a shotgun, a rifle and a sniper rifle.
