About this image

(QUICK NOTE: I can't make mods I don't have the utilities and need someone who dose and is willing to help make this concept a reality.)

This is an advanced version of the standard Assaultron model, made for  assassination, infiltration and squad based tactics, but was never fully manufactured when the bombs fell. However, there are enough prototypes already made for them to venture out into the world and find their targets
where ever they may be. Targets can be anything they perceive is a threat to America since that was what they were programmed to do; eliminate threats to America with extreme prejudice.

Now that's the lore, but my real reason I want these in my game and in other's games is simply because I love Assaultrons and I want to play as one, while being able to use guns and do everything a human can do but better. Perhaps even wear some clothing and armour for full customisation.

How I imagine this working is if someone took this design I've made and put it on a human or synth skeleton rig, or maybe tweak the Assaultron that is already in the game, I know it can be done, I've seen it be done.
Now I can't make this mod by myself; I don't know how. If I could I would have already made it, but I can't.

So I must turn to you guys and girls who have the skill to make this happen, to please take pity on a enthusiastic dreamer, and use your talents to make something amazing.

If this dose happen, if someone is willing to help me, I hope it can be made for the Xbox. Sorry PS4 but this might not work for that platform since this might have to use external assets. But who knows, maybe someone with the right know and how can work around it.

Message me to show your interest or thoughts on the idea, I could use some insight and maybe discuss how this could come about.

I can think of more than one way of implementing this, all of them are rather involved and require a fair amount of creativity. It is unlikely to be doable by just one mod author.

You want this to be playable. Ideally, this would require an alternate start from vanilla fallout. Such an alternate start would require new content to support it.

Additionally, it will require modification of a major percentage of dialogue to adjust people's responses/reactions to the PC. Most of the player's voice dialogue would be relatively simple. You'd just need to use the files of the voice actor using the helmet filter.

Dialogue is only one concern. You would also have to consider all the changes required to the original Assaultron mesh and rig to allow animations for the face-plate, hands, etc.

Clothing would be an interesting option, given that the Assaultron is humanoid. In fact, you can preserve the majority of the vanilla story line by using the adjusted back story to indicate that somehow the SS's body had died due to cryo sickness, but his mind was able to be preserved in this prototype Assaultron shell utilizing Robobrain technology. All plausible and consistent with existing cannon, IMO. It would explain why an Assaultron would be wearing clothing.

Continuing this idea further, given how Curie was able to get a synth body, you should also consider the possibility of allowing the PC to get a synth version of their original body (after all, the Institute would have Shaun's parent's DNA on file.

As you can see, there is much to consider respecting the nature of your proposed mod. It would require a male variant of Assaultron prototype to accommodate the male SS should you run with my suggestion, but dialogue (for the SS) would be largely untouched. You would also have to switch from using stimpacks to robot repair kits.

One last consideration regarding clothes. The creation kit uses two types of armor slots on humans/humanoids, armor and under-armor. If you were to use the under-armor slots for the default armor pieces, you could also use the armor pieces to add clothing to the Assaultron as an overlay. Additionally, you could have the Assaultron wear modified human body armors over the armor plates. It might also be fun allowing the Assaultron to use Power Armor, and to modify the body configuration through the automatron workbench.

You could simplify the mod by making it technically an armour/clothing mod, since clothing in Fallout replaces the body model instead of covering it, meaning if you were to make an assaultron body, make it an armour, then wear the armour, your body would just be that model, same goes for a helmet. Then you wouldn't have to find a way to animate it, since it would use human animations.

Then if you wanted to, you could add what would essentially be legendary effects or armour mods to it to give assaultron-like abilities, such as target tracking, night vision, increased melee damage, increased accuracy, ect.

I remember the Sirius armour having a feature where the helmet opens and closes depending on if your weapon is drawn, you may be able to do something similar, and if it works by replacing the helmet model then you could even change the light colour that way so it's blue when your weapon is holstered, and red when drawn.

    Thoughts?

That dose sound really good and a lot simpler. Now I just need a modder willing to help me, I have no modding skill what so ever, I'm just an artist and writer with a lot of ideas.

I'm not really a big modder myself, I've only made one FO4 mod which I released to the nexus, and one weapon mod which I've kept for personal use. I can 3D model, though I've never done anything in human (or humanoid) form, my texturing abilities are lacking, and I can just barely use the creation kit. I'd help you if I had the skills to do so, but I don't. Sorry, but I can't help you beyond a little advice.

I'd suggest getting in touch with a successful modder who's made something like this before. The modding community tends to be nice and willing to help aspiring modders.

Because of the similarities, I'd suggest maybe trying to contact humannature66 who made the Sirius armour, and they also made the EasyGirl outfits, so they're experienced with armour modding. That's the only person off the top of my head. Generally just check some of the top mod makers and see if you can get a response out of any of them. Look for the authors of some of the most downloaded and most endorsed mods.

If you can't get a response out of any of the big authors, then move on to looking for smaller mod authors who's mods don't get seen very much, but are still very good.

Thank you for the comment, but I'm not doing this for money. It's just a passion project that others can enjoy.

this would be a cool idea, but as a side thought, consider allowing us to make this using automatron.

I'm in the same boat as you for stuff like this, I have read that the leg parts determine what animations are used for all other parts. I was thinking take that ashara cyborg outfit and turn it into a cyborg robot it would be in parts so you could mix and match it with other robot parts but if it had the cyborg arms and hands it would be able to use human weapons.

Mate, that sounds like an amazing idea and very doable. I think you should go for it, it would be so cool.

I even suggested an idea just like that to the one who made the Cyborg Armour.

He/She didn't take to the idea, but hey nothing's stopping you.
