Appreciate your friends! Those you have known for ages. And those you have known for a few days yet who step in and helps you out when you need it most.
During our recent holiday to the American south west I fell seriously ill. By a stroke of luck we were visiting a Nexus friend and his wife. Being able to stay at their house – mainly sitting on their terrace- while the antibiotics fought the infection, was invaluable to me instead of being confined to a hotel room. While at the same time my wife had good company instead of being driven nuts in that same hotel room watching over me.
It’s been a week since we came home. I’m still pretty tired. Probably a side effect of the penicillin. Still – if our new friends hadn’t opened their house and hearts to us I am sure it would have been much worse. Many words have already been said. But yet another “thank you” will never be out of place. You know who you are.

You don't choose your family. But you do get to choose your friends. That friends can be found even halfway around the globe on the basis of a common interest in a computer game......... That is - to me - a pretty miraclous thing. But - then again- reality often surpasses imagination
