    Enjoy the weekend, Happy Easter and Passover. The story is a little long, but I held Cliff Hanger at bay and decided to tell it in one chapter.

      Thanks. It's a story that popped into my head from a dream as I was waking up. The Setting is at my Beach Resort on Spectacle Island.

      And thank you for taking the time to go back and have a look at my old postings. Very kind of you.

    Quite often when I read a story here on Nexus, I focus on the story and the images become secondary.   After finishing the reading, I had to go back and look  at the images.  They are really well done and compliment the narrative very well.   
    And, the narrative?   Interesting, one man's views  on honor, chivalry, killing/murder, brothers, women and Hell-on-Earth.  The Spider caught me in his web.   If I recall anything from my H.S. "studies" of literature, this has all the hallmarks of an excellent short story.

      Thank you very much. I am glad that you enjoyed it and caught all of the elements that I introduced. I've been tired lately, I suppose, and not keen on writing, but this one popped into my head from a dream. Then the next day I fleshed it out.

      Thank you. It was a little long for one quick reading, but I didn't want to break it into pieces.

      It's on Spectacle Island. I flattened the island, removed the trees and built a beach resort there. That garden alcove is a recent addition. Lots of room to add and expand on the island.

    Quite deep in terms of character description and scenery. You are a great storyteller and manage to the story interesting. I thought it was a sad story with everyone losing something in the end ..

    Funny detail, I am in Spain at the moment so the timing for reading this was perfect also.

      I focused on Eduardo, but it's true, they all lost something. Glad you liked it. Enjoy your trip. I've only been to Spain once -- Barcelona -- where I did have a not so good bottle of Vino Rioja.

      It does, doesn't it. I played a little of the original before giving it to my grandson. (I couldn't handle all of the jumping, and climbing and dodging using a mouse and kb.)
