speaking of waking up I usually do as well somewhere in the 3:30 to 4:30 range. Not sure who's dream I'm in though 🤣 just hope it aint a night mare. Alex, we don't understand why he hasn't already taken you to Maslea, shame on cmh 🤣 after all it is a free trip
thank ya'll for the visit, ya'll come back now ya hear
LOD problems... ENB problems... severe performance issues in a few spots possibly related to those things, but maybe not. Parallax terrain fixes needed... meaning I will need to replace certain terrain textures with modified versions that don't get messed up with Parallax turned on in the ENB - which I have turned on.
Stack dumps when the mod takes all your stuff away when you wake up on the beach after taking the ship in the first quest. That isn't necessarily a problem with the mod itself, but in my game and with the amount of stuff I am carrying, it causes big problems. This issue is trggered by mods that monitor the player's inventory, including Sofia, Legacy of the Dragonborn, certain quests like Theives Guild quests where you need to gather a certain amount of loot, etc, etc. This issue gets triggered in Skyfall Estate and the Legacy Museum or Safehouse crafting locations (both mods have automatic storage), where tons of stuff gets added and later removed from the Player. But removing everything from the player - at least those who are huge pack rats like me, causes instant problems. I had to create work arounds so that I don't get Stack Dumps in those two locations... and it is a bit complicated. Hopefully I have good notes. Sigh.
Also, the lighting in some areas is very questionable... at least with ENB turned on... or at least with my Rudy ENB setup. I keep having to turn ENB on or off in certain areas so that I can see anything. It is annoying!!!! And... maybe not Maslea's problem exactly. Just not sure it is worth the work, at least right now. Which doesn't mean I won't give it another go tomorrow - just too frustrated at the moment. Maybe you could tell???
Edit: Well... I think I have the Parallax terrain fixes done! Funny thing is... I missed one, so I had dinner and coffee with some whiskey, and found the last one (I hope) with a bit of a buzz. Thanks for letting me vent and tell you this stuff... it really helps me to work out what I need to do to fix them. Because...
well... is Alex worth anything that I need to do for her... of course! BUT... for now we can always go to Paradise Valley or Goma Pero Land until I get everything worked out.
Before and after images of the parallax issue and fix, under the spoiler below.
It might be hard to see in these images (it looks worse in game when you move). The problem causes the ground texture to have these weird blurry/stetchy lines, and it really bugs me!
Here we see the terrain/ground before I fix the parallax problem:
And here is basically the same image after I fixed the parallax problem. Looks so much better to me... I hope you can tell. I am not sure if SE even has this type of problem or not - not sure what the status is of parallax support in ENBs for SE vs LE.
PS. Don't forget to look below for new posts from other users. I know you double check, but there were a few already when I did this reply.
but in your case if Alex wants to go than you better make it happen 😂🤣😁
I could tell some difference on those 2 shots.
No problem, you can "bend my ear" anytime
Seriously though, I believe this mod on SE has had more work done on it, and some of what I have hit might not be as critical on SE as it is on LE. And of course, your game (or most people's games) is probably not quite as insanely packed with mods as mine is. I know a lot of people install mods like Maslea, play it, and then go back to a different save without it. But everything in my game that goes in stays in, once I have given it my approval, modifications, tweaks, and fixes. Over 2 years on this playthrough so far.
I dunno tho, we will probably give it a whirl eventually.
On SE I am running right now 665 plugins plus several hundred texture etc mods. LE probably about half that. I have never been able to complete a play thru, get caught up in new quest mods and screenshots.
Oh... one last thing. Because I am on LE, I only have about 235 plugins officially, but a ton more because of merging things. I would guess around 550 plus all the plugins from Mihail mods and from outfit mods that I also have merged... but never kept track of. So we are probably pretty close by count. Ya know, because of how I have modfied almost every mod I have, I won't ever move to SE. But... the ESL or ESP/FE concept in SE where you can have plugins that don't count against the limit of around 255 (0-254), sure would be nice! Take care, my friend!
That's the spirit! Cool set, RT. Love that "celebrating the life" vibe.
thank you Micheal
just came back to say that this got stuck in my head, basically describes my last aprox. 12 months *sigh*
oh, reminds me of an ancient phrase that helps me thru hard times "...and it came to pass"
Always brings me happiness reading your joke lines, love them :))
Cool info with the songs too :))
thank you much Izzy, always always a pleasure hearing from you
Black Star would have been a great title and the lyrics are good. The producers must have thought it was too heavy.
I haven't seen that Bowie vid -- just as well. It is depressing. Here's one that should make you smile, if not roll over laughing
I think you might very well be right on the title switch... and I think all and all it would've been a better choice but that was a different era.
The Bowie vid is as you said depressing but I was so moved by the fact he knew he was dying but pressed forward and completed an entire album plus this vid. Then the fact Bowie was inspired by Elvis.
Thank you Laird
edit~ hilarious vid, thank you... I had never seen that one before... what a odd classic 🤣🤣🤣
Mick Jaguar (sp?) was making a remarkable parody of a music film, and David Bowie was behaving very cool and tough, like a mobster having a fun night out with Mick Jaguar.
I didn't think that film was funny at all. I thought it was wonderful.
It also points out that music makes almost anything beautiful. Without the music, Mick Jaguar's actions looked clumsy (though David Bowie was still elegant, as always). It makes me both question and delight in the power of music.
like that off.
Love the old Elvis video. We watched all of his movies back in the day including this one.
I have to admit I was never a David Bowie music fan though I recognize his obvious outstanding contribution to the music world.
More great lines; so many it's hard to pick a favorite.
Love the quote by Jimi Hendrix.
Gorgeous Lachina closeups and I always love seeing Alien Elvis.
Good times.
Bowie was always an enigma to me 🤣 but he was exceptionally talented and just as strange
Thank you very much my friend
