Thanks to Izzy (Ista3) for the suggestion of Jerry Douglas on dobro. I like Derek Trucks a lot, and think he's a great guitar player.  With his wife Susan and some other great musicians, they make up the Tedeshi-Trucks Band. I was real happy to run across this number with Jerry Douglas. Oh, and Little Martha was composed by Jerry.

Well, that's it for the story of Jinx, Billy and Tony. It started with a song from Sophie Zelmani and ended up being a pretty good little story, if I do say so myself.

Oh, I had it crossed who was Tony and who was Billy, haha, so in the opening scene I was thinking, "Oh no! The bad guy's gonna win!" Haha. Great fight, and great outcome :) Gorgeous shots, too.

Ya can't tell the players without a scorecard. I forget who is who sometimes, too. So many characters over the years. Thanks.

Great staging in this set, even their facial expressions matchup. staging a fight lke that is not easy, as I have struggled with that a few times.
Music is indeed cool, sort of a hidden gem. I knew their music but needed reminding it existed

Thanks. I haven't done a fight scene in a long time, so it was good to get back into the "ring." Two great guitar players and I was just reading that Jerry Douglas has won 14 Grammy awards.

A very satisfactory outcome for all concerned.

Probably even for Tony. I can imagine that he found a lovely country who made him toe the line.

Thanks. I haven't done a fight scene or any action scenes in quite awhile. (unless you count dancing). So, I decided to put a little more effirt into this one.

From the last picture in the previous set,
I new there was going to be a dustup. I
was not expecting a roundhouse kick to
    the face!!
Great set Laird I enjoyed very much.

A kick seemed like the best attack. Good choice since Tony had a knife. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Nice to see some justice served with a serving of hot whoop ass, Nevada style!

    Good show!

It was fun to write this and see Tony get a little of what he deserved. Being attacked with a knife, Billy did have the option to kill Tony, but running him out of town seemed appropriate.  Thanks.

My impression of Billy has been a fast-talking, charming, easy-going type, but just goes to show they can be tough, too.   Great action shots!

Yeah. Well, you know how it goes...So you're trying to charm some fine lady in a bar when her boyfriend shows up. Sometimes fast talking isn't going to get you out of the situation. Well, you might not know about that personally unless you were the charmee rather than the charmer. Thanks, finally a little action.

Great wrap up, nice to see Billy in action. Also love romantic happy endings! Very well written and choreographed! Billy's not all that bad after all.

Thank you. I probably need to paint a picture showing more of Billy's wild & crazy, bad boy side, but that was back before Mary Lou tamed that bronco. Do a few posts just for fun. A few songs come to mind, all from Waylon and Willie: Mama, Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys, Good Hearted Woman, and Honky Tonk Heros. But for now, I think I'll take a little break, maybe do some different riding with Arthur and Missy or Aloy and Bevo. Yeah, a different kind of riding. I haven't wrestled since Jr. High, but I think it's 2 points for a take down and 1 point for riding time.  Anyway, Billy is a decent sort.

And I hate tragic endings (well except when it befall the bad guy, of course) There's a lot to be said for romanticism or riding off into the sunset.

Life is harsh and hope is pretty much all we humans have to keep going. Probably why I like positive endings or at least endings with hope in them :-)

Great action shots here. And it felt just right the whole thing. Not overdone. Not too much drama. Just a skunk being kicked out of town. Hopefully having learned a lesson. And a great ending on the - humble- heros homecoming. I wonder anyone ever will hear about what REALLY happened during his little trip to Vegas

Thank you. I'm glad it felt right to you. Not over played or on the other extreme not enough detail. You know how it is with humble heroes -- not inclined to brag or say more than they have to. At other times Billy has plenty to say.

I hope you will tell us more stories like this! Splendid shots, a text you won't find anywhere else, a well-made story and endearing characters.
And music that sticks to the story (which you have to listen to while watching the shots).UN Grand Bravo !

Yes, I hope there will be more stories -- God willin', and if the creek don't rise. It takes a little while to get motivated, but then that old crone, I call a Muse, starts stompin' around in the back of my head. Thank you, Alain.
(Creek don't rise: Means problems or difficulties. Lots of rain could mean the creek would rise and could flood, or it could be so deep, you couldn't get across it.)
