All that stories are a DLC in pictures !
Beautiful to see, pleasant to read, proper atmosphere, I've been following the story for almost an hour and I can't get away from it even if, at times, there are terms that I don't understand (like " Cowboy Scavver's" : i don't know what that mean) English is not my cup of tea ! Thats a very great, great job!
I Love it ! And your chracters are charismatics !

So glad you're reading this. I put a glossary in one of the episodes, but please ask any time the cowboy slang doesn't make sense. Most of the words are like the King in Fallout New Vegas (Elvis). He slurs the words like "I'm going to" becomes "Ah'm gonna." Scavver is my name for scavenger. I think someone in the game calls scavengers - scavvers. I'm not sure though. Anyway, Danny and Billy are cowboys and started as partners in the scavenging business. (At least they dress like cowboys and they do have a few Brahmin.) The Scavver business went well, until Mary Lou and Digger decided they wanted to Put the Band Together.

      Found it -- Cowboy Glossary
      Spoiler:
      Show

      - A word ending in "ing" becomes in' dropping the g. For example: She liked bein' under that huge blanket of stars.
      - When you see o', it's usually "of".  For example: There's a lot o' radiation here
      - And ol' is old
      - Wanna, shoulda, kinda, gonna. I suspect you've seen before. Want to, should have, kind of, going to
      - I'll swanny = I'll swear meaning mild surprise or "I can't believe it"
      - Well, I'll be = another expression of suprise. Short for "Well, I'll be damned." So the speaker doesn't have to say damned.
      - Consarned: Darned or damned
      - Daggum: just a curse. Probably came from God damn.
      - Also dagnabbit and doggone = more curses. Means the same, used so the speaker doesn't have to take the Lord's name in vain.
      - Shoot. As George Carlin used to say. Shoot, that's just sh** with two O's. But usually not meant to be as strong or harsh.
      - (Cowboys, and Texans to this day, don't like to curse, or "cuss" as they say, in polite company. At least not the older ones.)
      - jest = just (not the word joke or kid) It's just the way they pronounce "just".
      - ya = you, yer = your
      - y' all = you all, two or three people. And all y' all means a group of people.
      - agin = again
      - skeer = scare
      - purty = pretty
      - Pappy, Pa, Papa = father
      - doohickey is used to name some complex item that's hard to pronounce or not understood
      -  prickly pear in this context means a difficult disagreeable person, in other words he has sharp needles on him
      - thankee = thank thee or thank you
      - hornswoggled = fooled, cheated
      - polecat = skunk, a bad person
      - shore = sure
      - keller = color
      - plumb = truly or surely Comes from a plumb bob showing a true vertical line.
      - loco = crazy
      - Punkin = pumpkin, a term of endearment like sweetie or dearest. Generally used for a daughter
      - tarnation, a curse. A eupemism for damnation or damn it.
      - beer goggles. Vision becomes cloudy after quite a few beers. A not so attractive girl or guy can look gorgeous as the night goes on.
      - grub stake. money or other assistance furnished esp. to launch an enterprise.
      - 'coon's age = raccoons life time. In other words a long time.
      - hightail: to leave in a hurry, run fast. The dictionary says it originated from spooked mustangs. I thought it was white-tailed deer. Same difference.
-- burr under your saddle: riled, upset. A horse with a burr under it's saddle wouold be a very unhappy horse.
-- A sight better: quite a bit better.
      -- smarts = intelligence
-- Elvis has a Memphis drawl, not quite deep south and not cowboy. He speaks slowly, and is kind of lazy in his pronunciation. So some word are slurred.
      -- Ah = I, Ah'm = I'm
      -- thuh = the
      -- thum = them
      -- jus' = just
      -- mah = my

Annd....... Cliff's at it again. Dang you Cliff. One say I'm gonna take a pot shot at you when you're dangling like that......... Very smooth. And now you have aquired the service of one fo the more obnoxious NPCs of the game. Oh well - as long as you don not hire Holmes.....
Quite apart from that. SomewhatWindy hit the nail on the head. "Smooth Operator" indeed

Mr. Holdout, so he's called and I never knew his name until now, is definitely a pest. Oh no! Perish the thought -- Holmes (or Stanwell).

Somehow, smooth operator from Sade came to mind reading this charter. He does know what he' s doing , so it seems. The environment with all the smooth talking guys do help through in that aspect.

      Smooth Operator -- that's a good one,

      Diamond life, lover boy
He move in space with minimum waste and maximum joy
      City lights and business nights

      Yeah, that fits.

I get the distinct impression there's a sting operation in motion.   Laughed at the "GWIAOFSG" acronym, fits this guy perfectly.

Definitely an operation in motion, and certainly not an appendectomy. Maybe a pound of flesh though. I'm glad you liked the acronym -- gave a good laugh also.

Thanks very much. I need to work more humor into the stories. (They aren't action-adventure tales.) But occasionally something funny occurs to me.

Glad you liked it.  It's "Light Comedy", but my little attempts at humor make me chuckle. What will happen next? WW III, of course.

Trusting kittens. They don't seem to be in a panic. I haven't heard from Cliff in awhile. I guess it was only a matter of time until he showed up.
