    The mind works in mysterious ways ... So I was going through Arcjet with the team and near the front with the scattered robots the lighting was really cool. I was adjusting the tint, gamma and the specular settings for a cold shine and all of a sudden this idea jumped into my head that Mac looked like a cross between a terminator and synth. It reminded me of a movie where an android rose up out of a vat of liquid, dripping wet and menacing looking. So of course I had to try and make that into a Manly Monday set :-)

    Very nice! Mac makes an awesome-looking murderous android. I would enjoy watching him until he ripped my spine out.

    It was a nightmare just because Fenn knew in his dream that the android wanted to kill him .....otherwise, it would have been a pleasant dream I reckon, since Mac looks WOW!
    And although I really love to look at your men - in this set my favourite is definitely this one: I love the tone-in-tone, kind of 'dull' colores, these wonderful shoulders and this incredibly intense gaze.....make me wish for a nice nightmare.

      Thanks much :-) I was really aiming for that over-the-top masculine/built look for Mac as some fantasy male sex android. Fenn was probably mixing his fantasy in with the nightmare. Luckily he does have the real thing to curl up with after the night mare :)

    I'm seeing a movie in my mind where the vat is a milky latex. Maybe a different movie (or the same). I suspect Android Mac would give Aahnold a tough time, though.

      Thanks Laird! If you mean the Arnold Terminator aye think that was vaguely on my mind. As I told Tanja I had some vague memories in my mind but wasn't sure where they came from, other than the SYnths from the Institute and that the memories probably came from movies like Blade Runner or Terminator or the like.

    If I were Fenn, it would be difficult to say whether or not he wanted to be caught by dream Mac or real...difficult, but real is best. lol  Wow, Mac is looking really hot here!!!

      Lol one of those sexy scary dreams. Well luckily Fenn has the real thing to watch over him. I tried to make Mac look a bit menacing/tough combined with a hyper-male physique look ... felt like I got reasonably close to that :)

    Mac: "Oh well that's very nice I must say, I cook your damn supper while it's blowing a gale and snowing like the clappers and all you can do is dream I'm a killer robot. No, don't try and wriggle out of it nag nag nag, Dogmeat ! bite him on the arse nag nag nag..."

    Fenn: "Strewth, I preferred you in the dream."

      Lol Alas in that case perhaps the dream was better.

      I suspect later Mac will pretend to be an android just to freak him out. Although the price would be high as Fenn would be sure to come up with a devious counter move to get him back.

      Thanks! Aye I listened to a few pieces of music relating to cybrogs and androids and always liked this movie so thought it worked well.

    The movie you are refering was "Terminator 2" I would guess

    Yah.. the wet skin lets it look a bit like plastic in that light (synthetic), the shine reminds also to metal and his look is a bit creepy/evil/angry (even when it is just stern) with the mask on, so I can absolutely see, how you got to this idea

    These are some awesome images, Jon! The one before the last in the description is my favorite here.

      Thanks Tanja! Aye one of the terminator movies. I don't really recall exactly. I simply have some images in my memories of androids rising up out of vats of liquid showing glistening well muscled bodies. Also reminded me of how Synths got made as well.

      I pushed the specular settings to an really high value to try and get that shine. Anyhow my mind started to think about things and it led to a few shots with the theme in mind. Of course an all out version would be better mods and doing the shots at the institute but I didn't want to disrupt playing so did it where I was in Arcjet.
