About this image
I'm not sure if I have the same notification issues most people have as I don't know what issues they have, but it's true that there is a very long delay before posts and comments show up. This means it's not really feasible to have conversations with the community except across hours or days. Also sometimes I make posts, and they don't appear, so I post it again just to have the first post appear a few minutes later. Lack of real time activity probably is an issue here.
This said, I'm not sure how I feel about it. Yes, it impacts the real time community here, but this is still primarily a modding site, and I still think it behaves amazingly in this regard.
This said, with this post I lend my support to the community in their efforts to rescue their ability to communicate more or less real time with each other.
The above image is a screen shot I took while making my recent "Eternity" film (which I linked in the Supporter section yesterday). I made sure there was no semblance of nudity nor skimpiness. But after this I will return to trying to stick to the Supporter section, just to be safe :) Thanks.
p.s. However, I am extremely visually impared, so if I am mistaken and if there is something inappropriate in the image, I apologize and ask to be forgiven. Thanks.

The picture is spectacular. did you survive?
As for the comments, I think the issues began when they put a buffer between Nexus and end users, and the buffer site only updates every few minutes give or take. So while you might see a notice that there's a new comment or photo or whatnot, several minutes can actually pass before they show up. It's annoying and takes away the sense of interactive conversation since you have to wait so many minutes to find out if there was activity and what it was.
And as for the scene, it's a still from this film on Flickr I made last year when I posted this comment. However, it's age restricted so would need a Flickr login to see :)
Almost all photos and films I make are in Supporter section only as I very rarely make general-audience films (though I do with GTA Online when I make those).
Thanks again for your kindness :)
En ajoutant un commentaire, bing, bug. Le comment est posté deux fois, faut en effacer un. C'est vraiment énervant aussi vu la fréquence chez moi.
But seriously, I can't keep track of so many people this way. Sorry, I'm being too calm. Let me try to phrase it another way.
I CAN'T KEEP TRACK OF EVERYTHING, IT'S TOO MUCH. THE MULTIPLE POSTS, THE GUESSING AT SOMEONE'S IMAGE GALLERY WHEN THEY POST MORE THAN ONCE A DAY. NEARLY 300 AND IT'S TOO DAUNTING, MAKE IT STOP, AGGGGGHHHH!
With that said, I'm taking a break from the Nexus
Don't get completely away from Nexus!
I know the current NS is a bit non-practical but it's just what we have for now.
In the film from which I took that photo some of the best weathers were pastel, invert, invertwarm, virtual and virtual01 :)
pastel: fw 116e
invert: fw 6ed5a
invert warm: fw 777cf
virtual: fw 3031416
virtual01: fw 3023a97
Thanks again! :)
Cheers for the support for the theme and for rocking it out on the FO4 side of things
It's good you contributed to the theme even if you don't experience many problems.
Other than the problems mentioned the most here, i have one specific that gets my nerves tilting...!!!
One cannot get any notification(for 3rd party responses under a comment) if he is not the author of the post or the author of the comment! This kills human interaction a bit as it forces to search manually for responses!
Another bad experience with the current notification system is that occasionally i don't get notifications for some of my friends' posts and vice versa. Really annoying.
Personally, i regard these 2 matters very seriously bad for the users experiencing it!
As for the recent update changes, I agree with the general consensus that linking people to profiles instead of updates is problematic because people have to then click on member, supporter and mod updates for each user trying to guess what's new and not knowing until they click each.
Amazing capture my friend :)
If you go to the site announcements forum, you can see a list of the problems and complaints identified at the release of the new system. They go on for many pages. One response is -- What do you want for free? Sure, you get what you pay for. But the previous system had some very good functionality that was removed. To my knowledge none of these issues have been addressed in the months following.
Then last night, once again, the system failed -- belly up -- completely dead. Hence Klaxoid's "theme".
There you identified something very important not directly related to the notification system design they tried to implement. They should not link a mod change/add notification to an image share notification.
Assuming they want to streamline image share notifications because they don't care about supporting it fully (dunno if that's the case, but if it is it is), they should not link mod add/change notifications to the image share notices. They should not share mod add/change notification links to somebody's profile making you guess whether they uploaded a supporter image, a member image or a mod add/change.
They shouldn't make you fish around for mod add/changes if you want to track a mod or modder.
Theoretically they could fix mod add/change tracking without changing image share if indeed they want image share to die out a slow starving death.
