About this image

Yet another paintjob for the SMG. Personally I like how it came out, what do you think?

    what i like about this is the modder spairs no expense in the designs of this weapon but the other thing that comes to mind is this is what fallout is broken weapons that have been repaired over and over to the point that even the weapon itself has taken a new profile of its own.

    yeah it maybe an MP5 but its profile two hundred years or so later shows that this weapon has seen its fair share of s#*! but thats also like saying its the only one of its design when in actuality its just one of many variations and designs and its been passed around from hand to hand by many in its time and has been modified for the user of said current weapon.

    when i say modified though i see it more as heavily modified not like what we as players do when we want it to look like what it once was but that's us the player, (that's more of a choice then anything really) but what we see is a weapon made better if though heavily modified over time to be more effective.

    anyway just my thoughts on this weapon and in hopes it will come to console when released or eventually after its release it will stumble its way to console.

    to add i just wish we had more mods that looked more carefully at the firearms in general like pipe weapons like why in the commonwealth and west Virginia the profiles of the weapons are the same yet slightly different, what im saying is i wish pipe weapons had more of an actual profile something wasteland three did well and presented well.

    It looks great, the other mp5 on the site are not bad but they look very clean and tacticool for the Fallout world.

      In the Fallout Universe, the MP5 was replaced by the MP9 SMG IIRC. Well, the Fallout Universe's equivalent of the MP9: https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/10mm_SMG_(Fallout)

      personally whether or not it is lore friendly does not matter to me, I was simply saying that aesthetically the other mp5 mods look very modern and clean for a post-apocalyptic world.

      @zorak912
      Thank you, glad you like it! The rugged and dirty look is what I was going for with this one. Tacticool side of gun mods is already well-covered, gotta take the opposite end :D
      @bloxyman
      I've already been thinking over some of this lore stuff, gotta justify the gun's existance after all.
      Sure, 10mm SMG might be the newest adopted SMG in Fallout universe, but that doesn't mean there wouldn't be some in-between models, and this gun is kinda supposed to be just that - a half-makeshift replica of some in-between model. Much simpler than the MP9, closer in looks and  design to it's MP5 predecessor, and originally intended to be chambered in much bigger and more powerful rounds (which can be seen by the mag dimensions), with last point being one of the few reasons why in the end 10mm SMG won over this one - civilian safety, overpenetration, more expensive ammo, etc.
      However, schematics of this gun got renewed popularity with raider factions after the Great War, since this gun was much easier to reproduce than the 10mm SMG. And being chambered in bigger and more powerful rounds wasn't the issue anumore, instead it became it's best selling point - after all, for your average jet-fueled half-insane raider the best gun would be one that has louder bangs and leaves bigger bullet holes. :D
