Well, let me get it working as a weapon in game first. :-) I have some more work to do before I can say anything.
I must tell you, though - I am still very far from completing this project, and I don't even have an estimate as to when I can release the mod. I am learning all this as I go, and I am expecting to deal with a fair amount of challenges on the way as well. For me, this project is about learning how to do things properly, so that I'd have a good foundation for the future projects, and I am going to be taking as much time as it takes.
This gun in particular will be used as a sort of fighting chance for North End against Triggerman, and will be made by the guys at Carvelli's osteria for the final fight at the train station. This gun was originally submitted to the US Army for review as a next gen weapon in the pre-war time, but never won a contract. The manufacturer then submitted it to BADTFL to get a permission to market it as a "sporting firearm (lol)", but it never got through, either, because of full auto fire capability. ..My original plan was to send the player to go to a BADTFL warehouse to retrieve the original, so that the gunsmiths can reproduce it in quantity. At this point, though, I might need to cut this lore-bridging part because I have a lot on the plate already. :-/
Anyway, thanks again!
I think I'm getting more comfortable with these software. I've been sort of rotating assets to work on and revising things, so that everything would end up more or less in similar quality (my first attempts looked horrible, lol). This one is my favorite so far. :-)
