This is an image from a FO4 mod I'm working on called Weapon Addition and Replacement Suite (WARS).

I've been working on an M1911 for WARS, and here it is in Substance Painter!

The base M1911 itself is from this beautiful resource by Isildur - with some minor tweaks on my end. Just about all the other parts, attachments and skins for the M1911 are mine from scratch though. (I'll make a note when that's not the case.)

I posted another five shots of this yesterday; click the "view more from uploader" link there to see those.


Here's a vaguely period-appropriate taclight, based on vintage Eveready flashlights. (The "stainless" skin this time.) I doubt there were any in quite these dimensions, but the overall style is pretty close, I think. As with the LPC Laser Sight, there will be the choice between using the standard iron-sights on the slide and using backup iron-sights mounted on the flashlight.

Also shown here are the muzzle brake and 10-round magazine weapon mods.

    Have you ever seen those drawings of dragons sitting on unusual hoards of loot? Cause I think i imagine you kinda like that, an incredibly diligent dragon sitting on a hoard of absolutely amazing mods, occasionally showing glimpses of your treasures to the peasants. I guess I mean to say I'm really excited to actually play with your work some day.

      Urgh... it's really not intentional; I don't like keeping people waiting. (Though if it's any consolation, I'm also really hanging out to play WARS and PEACE.)

      It's just a combination of wanting to keep people updated on what I'm working on, and development hell being a real place.

      Oh, I mean it in the best possible way, I really enjoyed clockwork and I really love the weapon racks you put out, so its just an expression of my anticipation. I really hope the ammo framework you mentioned gets it's update sooner rather than later, since your mod has so much going for it, all seeming pretty set to go.

    I like this very much. It's a welcome change to all the current Eotech and Susats.

    But I have to admit the first time I saw it, I swear you had mounted a lightsaber on there!

    In retrospect, maybe not a bad choice!

      Oh yeah, I can see the lightsaber thing now. Originally I tried something closer to a normal length for these flashlights, but it looked kind of unbalanced when mounted, and also didn't allow room for the ring mount, power button on the flashlight and the backup iron-sights.
