Yikes. So riddle me this, Batman, how did Tom Hanks character or Robin Williams in Jumanji survive all those years w/o toilet paper?

You guys! Barb wire and Palm leaves. lol. I have a jelly palm in the back yard and the points in the fronds on it are needles. I've driven the damn needles a full inch into my legs or arms when trimming that beast.

That was a fun vid, Jim. The bloke was a little slow on retrieving his glove. He needs to work on that.

Frank: Yeah, I study the numbers and charts daily. It looks like several countries are over the hump on the number of new cases. \o/

Reimar: I just can't figure out the toilet paper thing. Near riots in the stores. Culuf reported that she's having trouble finding milk in New York. So far, not so here. Gotta have it for my BRCC coffee. But in the states we have this white chemical that people put in their coffee. (Coffeemate) It at least lightens the color. Can't say much for the taste.

I heard it said almost half of all the US cases are allegedly in NY. Hand sanitizer at least makes sense.
But.. I really can't connect the dots why they're taking all the milk, meat, TP, paper towels and water

      That cartoon says it all.

And the thing is about these people, if you're going to prepare for a disaster, you do it long before disaster strikes. And you build up your reserves slowly -- week by week. These people are just hoarders, not preppers. And I'll bet you gum drops to Brahmin steaks, that they won't keep their reserves in stock after the crisis passes. Yeah, I agree, what they're hoarding doesn't make a lot sense either. We haven't been to the store in a month except to buy milk and fresh fruit. (can't keep those in storage) Although, we do have powdered milk, canned milk, prunes, dates and raisins for real emergencies. Hmm... based on what I'm hearing, I guess we are preppers. Several hundred gallons of water, too -- you'd be a fool not to have that living in the desert. But, we've built our supplies up over the years and keep it restocked as necessary.

Yes, nearly half of the confirmed cases are in NY: 59,528 out of 136,880 in the US.

People have been buying way too many perishables and are now having to throw them away because it's all gone off, it's not only a waste but they left others with nothing.

Best coffee I've ever had Goes to show that even in the US you can have some decent coffee - and then some Anyway - great pic. And a fun video with some great music. These guys mean well. And if they can raise some awareness of an acute situation I'd say "Well done".
Around here we're still waiting for the storm - if it comes....... So far our hospitals can keep up with ressources to spare. Though all personnel has been called up. And medical students as well as retired doctors, nurses etc are volunteering - bless them.
You and GP stay safe in your little desert haven Raises glass of rum (Just discovered how good THAT can be - without cola...... )

BRCC is great coffee and I like the video ads they make. Some of them are hilarious. A fun thing to do some afternoon when you're bored. I watched Atlas Shrugged parts I and II the last couple nights. Part III tonight. Free on youtube. All about those trains. A little different from the book and updated in several ways, but well done.

Well good, let's hope that Denmark can stay ahead of the curve. Take care of yourself and Mrs. B.

Yeahhhhhh, that 100 proof rum we have has been getting heavily hit (ahem, for it's calming qualities )--doesn't taste too bad in BRCC coffee either, although I'd much rather have whiskey in it.

There's no TP to be had, but thank heavens there's plenty of booze in town. Wheeeeeeeee! Thanks for the laugh, Laird--lord knows we all need it.

So far the Johnny Walker is working for me. Three weeks symptom free and counting. Our local grocery will even deliver it. I'll bet your state store won't.
