It's only main drawbacks are being rear hear and right hand only.
Still a good, accurate rifle just let down by the past. Amazing to think if the us didn't force the UN to standardise the 7.62mm, Britain could have had the best service weapon.
But still doesn't beat L1A1 and gimpy though.
How is it right hand only? you mean the casing fly out infront of your face? I used the swedish AK5 doing my military service and did not have any problems and it was "right handed" despite im left handed. Same thing or?
If you look down the sights using the SA80 in your left hand the cocking handle will come back and shatter your cheek every time you fire a round so thats why its right handed only.
