Hi guys,

After getting some suggestions in my last post, I've tried to implement those ideas :






I took the iron sight on SIG SG550 rifle as the reference.  This one looks a lot better than the one I had before, I think.  The carrying handle - I've tried some different ways of implementing it, but I thought this one was the simplest and the most natural  for my rifle.  Even though my rifle started its life as something inspired by AR-100 LMG, I think to do the suppression-fire role, the receiver has to be much beefier (a big and sturdy handle attached to the barrel looked out of place in relation to the receiver when I tried).  So, mine will be just a rifle/carbine, and the carrying handle will not be as robust like on a LMG.  

I've also added a suppressor :




I used the OSS type suppressor as the reference for making mine.  Maybe I need to work on making it look better, though.  :-/

The barrel length for the carbine version is now 14.5 inch, same as the M4 although the gas tube length is longer.   



As for 14.5 inch vs 16 inch - I didn't see much of a difference when I made the 16.  In real life, there maybe some differences to justify the either cases, but I think having clearly visible difference like 14.5 vs 20 works better for this project, to keep things obvious and simple.  Muzzles - just a flash hider for now, but I'll be making others eventually.

      Thank you so much, TripleJWDog! Yeah, that piece of Swiss engineering was instant love, I had to put that on my rifle. :-)

    Honestly I love your AR and SMG designs. I was wondering if on you weapon mod you where going to use more generic names like in the base game or more descriptive names? I like descriptive just fine but I always feel like generic meshes better with vanilla.

      Thank you so much, Sachelman! My mod is about a secret weapon shop located in the sub level of a wine bar in North End. The shop is not quite Gun Runners, but these people are capable of doing small runs of weapon productions themselves. So, yeah, it's highly likely the name will be more specific than "Assault Rifle" to make it special, but since you actually get to talk to the people who are making these, I think these weapons will not feel totally out of place. Well, I hope, lol.
