About this image

Now that I have a better PC, I am able to make better textures than I could previously. PALR has been in development for a long time due to how much the mod changes in regards to power armor, and I’m sorry for everybody waiting that it is taking so long. I work 40 hours a week so I am trying to do what I can outside of work.

Power Armor Lore Restored seeks to restore the lore of power armor back to the way it was in 3/NV whilst keeping the new elements of functionality as it was in 4. This means that T-60 and APA Mk. I is being completely removed from the game. Above this, the modifications, textures, stats, loading screens, and pretty much every element of power armor in the game is being reworked. It is a big task, but Fallout 4 needs it. For a while we were even introducing PA training, but for right now that is on hold.

I will be releasing a a light version of PALR without the PA training which will be easier and faster to release. The reason for this is that the PA training was going to include two new NPC’s- an Enclave deserter hiding among the  Atom Cats, and a BOS drill instructor. The purpose of these NPC’s were to give the player PA training, complete with voiced dialogue and world interaction. That alone is no small task. Above that the scripting to include it required reverse-engineering of the engine to properly implement it into the game the way we want it to function. Plus we would have to remove the opening scene on the roof with the T-45 and minigun.

Anyways, I just wanted to update those who follow the mod. Hopefully after we release the light version, work can begin on the PA training version.

ALSO: If anybody knows how to pose loading screen models,  please PM me a tutorial on how to do it. It’d be much appreciated.

I kind of understand the removal of T60 but why remove APA Mk I? Or perhaps you're going to implement a new version of it...

PS: I'm assuming the premisse that "X-01" is the APA MK I

Yes. The reason I’m removing it is because I want to include APA Mk. II instead. I might include it too if I can find a plausible way to explain the suit. It’ll be easy to include Mk. II because of the BoS being in Boston (You can find it in Teagan’s armory) You’ll have to sneak into the armory to steal it. I might also include a set at a vertibird crash site surrounded by high level Enclave robots (Similar to the crash site in NV)

Awesome! Is the APA MK II model the one made by 3nikhey?

Unoctium is making an APA MK II? Didn't see any images, did he post anything or he is keeping it a surprise?

Ah i see, sorry i got everything mixed up, when you mentioned APA MK II i imagined something like the remnants armor from FNV, that's why i asked if you were going to use 3nikhey, this one:

      https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/images/158735

Because, if i'm not mistaken, lore wise the X01 was pre-war, however, i mentioned this actually because of this:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkKkHmFOfKE

If you pay attention, there's a moment he refers to the standard power armor the Enclave was using as "Mark II Powered Combat Armor"

Yeah in F2 the Mk. II looked the same as the Mk. I but in F3 bethesda redesigned it. I know the “X-01” is pre-war now but my mod changes it back to being a post-war design. I may add it back in as a prototype if I can get the files from 3nihkey. I’ll message him and see if I can finish it for him.

Ah i see, technical limitations most likely, or perhaps time limitations? Either way they ended up looking the same, i can't imagine the developers intentionally making it like this
