About this image
Still chipping away at the new retexture project. Coasts are finished, with some realistic-ish dune grass effects. Urban areas have come along pretty far, though there are still a zillion rubble textures in need of tweaking/overhaul. The Nuka World tundra and Far Harbor snowy spring forest are mostly done. Plenty of overall tinkering left to do as well, including the distant land textures, LODs, and probable re-do of most of the normal maps.
Texture set will be released when it's all complete. Not a huge fan of single texture releases, so this will be an all-at-once style mod. Permissions for other folks' work have started to trickle back, so it's looking like I'll be able to share this thing with y'all as it was originally conceived and designed. Many thanks to all the talented texture artists and modders out there who are down with the Cathedral approach to collaborative modding. Likewise, for all y'all looking forward to the eventual release, I very much appreciate your continued patience and support. For now, dig some further WIP images, mostly of the DLC regions.

And the pictures are just beautiful, as always.
1. So, for this setup, you are using BNS & the rest, but what about grass? You said it will have an optional grass plugin. Just curious will it look like on the pics.
2. I have seen pics (and your reply) with grass on the roads. Will that be the case? Hopefully yes, nothing beats the overgrown look as nature covering everything.
3. What ENB is on the pictures? It looks like PRC with some grit preset.
Thanks.
1. Grass is custom and will be released alongside the landscape textures. Probably the part of the mod that's received the most tinkering as I try to make the vegetation for each biome somewhat distinct.
2. Some grass on the roads, yes. For some reason the folks at Bethesda decided to apply road textures as a separate set of flat polygons on top of the basic, naturally lumpy ground. Since the grass is linked to the ground not the road, often times shorter scrubby grasses (the sort you'd expect to be growing on pavement) never actually show up in-game, as they have rendered below the road surface. Depending on how high off the ground the roadway has been created, grass in the road will appear taller or shorter- but nearly always a little bit 'off' looking, because you're only ever seeing the tops of the grasses, not all the way down to the root flare. Insert snarky comment about Bethesda rushing their product and cutting corners for the umpteenth $&^#*@ time.
3. ENB is the latest public test build for L00's WIP update to PRC. Lighting and weathers are from the likewise WIP update to NAC.
While I do love overhauls currently released as well, yours looks like a combination of the ones I enjoyed the most and then some. Honestly, keep up the great work, if Badlands was any indication to what your work is like, and that 'only' was a foundation to use with other overhauls, I honestly think this could be the one I will stick to for a while.
