I know 'Juice' dismissed it, (but he also says there are only 2 Gen 3 synths in the game..so......there's that)...but I thought one of the main 'controversies' is the question..is the player character a synth or not? The terminal in Robotics that explains that Gen 3s have capacity for VATs like targeting and slow time effect, combined with the fact you can use 'VATs' in the vault before getting your pipboy...well...while I also suspect that could just be a cock-up on Bethesda's part and they should have held the vats tutorial back or given the pipboy in the overseer's office....it could be strong evidence that the PC is a synth.
The Far Harbour DLC seems to confirm this...pointing out that PC has no memory before the game starts...so could well be implanted memories.
The PAM thing in contrast seems like a stretch.

Personally, even if Bethesda intended the 'canon' Nate/Nora to be a synth as some big secret, I never Role Play it that way....I always have a more fleshed out backstory for my protagonist.
If this was 'the big secret', I think it's good if we 'never know for sure'....it would be unnecessary in an RPG, and maybe that's why they have been wise enough to keep quiet, maybe someone realised the mistake, and that this would further damage the RPG aspect on top of the voiced protagonist, limited dialogue, etc?

      True
Still would not mind knowing what the secret is.
      I'm sure it's something silly.

First Video, sounds pretty standard for certain parts of fallout lore, nothing absolutely concrete but sounds very plausible.
Second Video, (sigh) this explains a lot and is quite depressing

It was an inevitability due to the environmental changes in the industry.
It's becoming applicable to most aspects of modern human existence.
A lot is changing and its not for the end users benefit as they do not matter towards the sustainability of the greater sum of its parts.
Whatever it takes to survive with what little is predicted to still be left in the future.
Yea I'm bummed out about it as well

If we use the Fallout 2 lore mentioned in the video P.A.M. fed misinformation because she was bored.
