Sadly I lost the files to this shortly after my last comment here, and I've been sorta trying to forget about it >.>
But, figured I should at least comment this in case anyone else comes back here wondering.

Might try my hand at it again some day, hopefully I could do a lot better if I did lol, but we'll see

I had this idea for a unique  it would be called something like the scorched wanderer which will have a similar skin as the scorched Sierra power armor you get if you destroy the NCR.

Sorry for the late reply! I don't know, I've been really busy. I do modelling as a profession so it's hard to find the motivation to do more modelling outside of what I already do.

I have made more progress with it that I haven't posted, but it's slow. I can model and all but I still don't know much about modding for fallout 4, or about rigging and animation, and I don't know if I have the time to figure it out. I've been considering releasing the model and textures as a modder's resource, but I don't know if that's a thing people would even be interested in

Don’t know if this has been worked on lately but there definitely would be plenty of people that would love for this mod to be finished. The model is beautiful and if the animations are a problem then maybe ask assistance from this great modder, KungFuMan. He made a fantastic junkmaster mod and bet he would love a chance to work with you on this. This gun was my personal favourite back in new Vegas and I would love to see it in fallout 4. Just be sure not to leave out the console players. I’m on console rn and would be saddened if this were to not be on console as well

Yep! I used the NV model for reference to get the proportions right, but everything you see here is 100% custom made and recreated.

Just set decoration lol, it's a pin I recreated from fallout 76 just for fun and figured I might as well fill out the space a little more

Hello author! here are my questions: is the gun highly moddable? and high damage? I want to see if there is a sight/optic, like iron sight, combat/recon/NV scopes? EDIT: also a mighty need for a release date!!

Most of the mods I have planned are barrels and magazines, I might do some other misc ones but it depends if I think of any good ideas and how much time I have. I have a lot of different skins I'm working on, and doing several skins each for several different mods are a lot of work! I might do some kind of basic reflex scope type thing, but I'm still inexperienced with modding so it depends if I figure out how to implement it properly. Probably won't do any proper scopes though tbh, they'd be kinda weird on a minigun and I don't like the look of a lot of them imo, and I am doing this primarily for fun

Damage will probably be balanced with vanilla fallout 4 weapons to be viable as a late game weapon. I'm not a big fan of super OP one hit kill mod guns, I'd rather it be believable. I also like NV's implementation of having it as a slow firing accurate high damage minigun

I can't give you a release date sadly, I'm a full time college student swamped with work so I'm only doing this in my spare time for fun! Trying not to stress myself out over it. I still have several skins and at least a few more mods to work on before I can try to get it in game, and like I said I'm not used to modding, so idk how long that'll take. So TLDR, probably not very soon unfortunately. At *least* a couple months, likely more, I'll have more time once this term ends, but I'll make sure to keep posting my progress screenshots lol

My suggestions are that the ammo as you said is only 10mm and 5mm but, You can do like... New Calibers mod support and take the mod advanced to like 7.62x39mm or 7.62x51mm

Have an awesome day, and God bless you! :D

Idk, I don't really want to create a separate version dependent on another mod just for a few different ammo types, especially one that requires Far Harbor, Nuka World and AWCKR. I'm planning on having unique magazines for each ammo type and I wouldn't want to lock some behind that mod. Fallout 4 has a lot of vanilla ammo types anyways so I could always try out some others if I needed to.
Never know if I'll change my mind though, so I always appreciate the suggestion, and thank you!

I love the two advanced shoulder mounted weapons that Lonesome Road brought to the (weapon) table. Why strain your back with an Heavy under-armed Minigun then a lighter, comfortable shoulder mounted Minigun.
The only problem with the F:NV version was it was exclusively 10mm which meant "no Armour piecing rounds"

If this mod has any equip-able mods, I hope to see some cool optics and sights.

    Keep up the Awesome work.

I'm planning on having both 10mm, 5mm and another surprise ammo. Since FO4 doesn't really have customizeable ammo types I'll probably just handle armor piercing through other mods like the receiver like most of the vanilla FO4 weapons do. I did like the idea of having 10mm since there aren't really any 10mm heavy weapons and there's an assload of 5mm ones, but options are never a bad thing lol

As for optics, idk if I'll be including them. I'd love to, but I'm inexperienced with modding, so it all depends if I can figure it out. One of the reasons I picked this for my first big gun is specifically because in a worst case scenario I could just ignore the sights lol. I think I mentioned it in a comment too but the original high poly from new vegas has a small face plate thing coming out of that grey metal band near the base of the barrel. If I were to do sights I'd probably turn that into some sort of camera and screen setup like the simonov armory mod. Idk if I'll do any scopes though, probably not since they'd just look weird

      Still though, thank you!
