    You really provide some of the most nice music noir in your sets :)
    Great set, the atmosphere you create is so impressive.
    I can totally understand Nicks decisions and Latimer surely digs his own grave.

      Thank you. I enjoyed looking for some good old songs to go with this series. Latimer has definitely dug a deep one.

    It's an interesting case for Nick - wading deeper into the "pond of sleaze balls". Having been a police detective on the good side and now caught up in a war between the bad guys, his moral compass must be spinning a bit.
    But, with the knock on his head and the threats, he pretty much chose his side - "the lesser of two evils"?
    Once again, the music and the posing are top notch as the readers wade in along with Nick.

      Thansk. I the film noir detectives are always hanging around on the fringes of the mob guys circle, and seems to know all of them. Same for Nick, just getting drug in farther, but he made the right decision with Marowski, I think.

    This time I will take all the great previous comments and say : I agree.They all say it better than I could.
    I just add two unimportant things: I love the texture of the concrete-wall in Marowski's office, and I noticed the two Martini's!

      I'm using a retexture from Dazaster, but the main thing that highlighted that wall is a spotlight. I placed a small spotlight in front of Marowski to create a shadow -- and it highlights the texture. Thanks for noticing.

    Now it seems that Nick starts to make a plan ... perhaps a bit vague, but his experience will help to hear to his intuition from the belly

    Cynical - or merely practical? Nick knows the realities of this game. Better than most I'd guess. I wonder if Latimer ever thought what might come of his double play - or just getting involved in thsi kind of trade. But he's probably like a lot of "kids" his age. Invincible! Nick KNOWS that HE is not. And that pat on head might have been a reminder - just in case. Brilliant story telling. And I really like the interaction going on between Nick and Claire

      I think Latimer, the kid, is so full of himself and the invincibility of youth that it never ocurred to him. That he was putting himself in serious danger. Yeah, gotta have some personal moments with the detective, now and then, and in this case with Claire.

    Ah good for Nick, I like that he did that. Should't let Dutch get away with that. I am also enjoying his interaction, and care for, Claire. Images went very well with the story (well the usually do even if I don't say it in every comment). Enjoyed this over later dinner.

    Oh so soon the shooting is gonna start.Think I will take a seat up on the balcony of my apartment and watch the excitement when it happens, nothing better then a safe front row seat lol. Wonderful shots and you have the best taste ever in paintings as always. This is getting damn interesting!!

      We'll see, someone's going to get hurt. So far the gang war has been off stage since it's Nick's first person account. Of course, only the best paintings. I love the Bette Davis. I think that's Marlena Dietrich in turban on the left.

    Morowski reminds a bit both of Marlon Brandon with those jowls and also John Goodman. Awesome episode and wonderful music.

    Looking nicely Noir Laird,..
    Miles is a great mood setting adddition to the set.
    I also like the concern Nick has for the old Lady,.. she wwould probably not stand a change.

      Thanks, it takes me awhile to switch from color to noir. I think I'm getting there though. The Flamenco Sketches are lesser known, at least to me, but I managed to stumble across them. Great listening music. Claire would be the fiorst one shot if Dutch storms the Rexford, no doubt. (Fred Allen would definitely be hiding. )
