I like this for the softness.
I´m tensed, if Barb will think about this proposal and change her mind and who will go with her to find Jenna ...
Great story an brilliant pics here
I wanted to try Maxwell's World but I didn't like the 'no companion' rule. But, after seeing Margret's visit with Sos along, I thought maybe Barb's character may be structured the same way as Sos. So, maybe I could get two characters into Maxwell's world as well.
And, then, Barb's character started to take on a life of her own and I didn't want to write her out of Isolde's Story because I liked her character. So, she needed something to do and a backstory to fill in her motivations. And, here it is!
I wanted the softness in that picture to counteract the tension between them at that moment and to seem like a reminder that they were once good friends.
In the past, when I read a book with multiple characters involved in their own plots, I sometimes got upset when the author would start the next chapter with a different character before resolving the other character's dilemma. I always thought it was just an attempt by the author to get the reader to keep on reading the book. Now, with so many characters in my own story, I understand how it's necessary to keep all the characters moving at the same pace.
I do have a plan for Barb but several things will have to happen with other characters before Barb gets back to Sanctuary.
I'm really pleased that you're enjoying the story.
I love this image https://imgur.com/oj3nhcX its just amazing <3
The effects are great as ever ^-^
That image was taken directly from the game. Weird, but I think the mod had something to do with it. Barb left the new area that the mod had defined and came back to the vanilla game area and this is what it looked like - so I had to capture it.
Thanks. I like to vary the images to try to keep it interesting.
What was this effect on the "Maxwell's World" screen? It's pretty fucked up ! Looks like Barb has arrived to the edge of the world. It reminds me of an old Mickey's story i've read years ago, where many characters were going to the Cockayne country.
The story was a vast cross-over between many Disney's franchises, and the protagonist was tasked to save this world from the void who was litteraly eating it. At the end, they were confronted to the void in the Cockayne country; your image remember me of that final encounter, when all has been engulfed in a white void and what's left is being eaten away.
Sounds like a pretty strange story.
In that image, I just changed the color a bit. Here's the original, unmodified screen directly from the game -
I've finally been able to weave in Under New Management and The 'Red' in Red Rocket from the supporter section.
This expedition has been in the plot for Isolde's Story for a while, too, but it keeps getting pushed back ...
I don't know if there will be bleeding, but something might get burned.
great story telling
(Some of Barb's pictures can be seen in The 'Red' in Red Rocket in the supporter section.)
