Absolutely loved your gallery of images, and enjoyed the summary of Isolde's journey this past year.

When we see a char's adventures throughout the year in small segments that aren't necessarily related to what's been shown before, it's easy to forget that there's a story being told. Your narrative and images were a perfect showcase for Isolde's travels, and brought her story to life.

Now lets talk about the images. Wow. Seeing the very diverse range of your work - all in one place - framed with explanations of your technique was quite powerful. It was like stepping back from scrutinizing a tile in a mosaic and being struck suddenly with the overall effect. I can only say that I have a new appreciation for your art. Wonderful!

    Thank you for sharing this.

Thank you so much for such warm and generous words. I am very happy that you found it so enjoyable. That is the major part of the reason for doing it. When I see images or read stories that others have posted and they are beautiful or interesting or both, I know how I feel. I always hope that my own posts can provide those same feelings to others - whether happy, sad, humorous or serious (mostly aiming for happy and humorous, though ).

About the images. Thanks. I do enjoy tinkering with the 'raw' images taken in the games. I take them pretty much the way I would with a camera - frame and focus - and then bring them into the 'digital darkroom' of Photoshop. There, I try to turn them into what I saw in my imagination. Sometimes more than my original vision. I am grateful for your appreciation and for calling my work 'art'.

You are most welcome. Now, I only hope I can live up to your new expectations.

I love the way your eye catches the little things... and your madcap post-processing turns them up to eleven. I'll admit, content-wise the woman-in-not-much-clothing-doing-RPG-stuff genre doesn't really do it for me- partly because the entire rest of the internet pretty much scratches that itch, and partly because I find the grimdark Fallout-y elements of this world to be more visually interesting. But I do love how you approach that mode, and the beautiful mutations you put it through. There's a reason so many of your pieces ended up in V's art mod; as things a person might want to hang on their wall, they work. Your style is distinctive, even as it runs the gamut from muted palettes to utterly bonkers color and linework- and I love it. Your first and last images in this scroll are a great example of that dichotomy: The first is classically beautiful, elegantly composed, restrained, pure postprocess linework, no distractions. The last image would be a throwaway gag, but for that anguished Jun, perfectly situated in his white t-shirt to balance the frame. It's the little things.

Thank you very much for your thoughtful and considerate critique. I appreciate the time you spent in reviewing the images and am very pleased that I was able to make a not-so-interesting subject matter more interesting and and, in fact, enjoyable to you. I never really thought too much about it, but we are pretty much opposites when it comes to the subject matter that each of us find appealing. But, I also find that your treatment of your subject matter makes it way more appealing to me.
About post-processing: I don't use enb and so this is my outlet to make screenshots into what I think they should be. Most (nearly all) shots that I take need at least a little tweak - and some are just begging for the full-scale treatment.
I'm honored that you feel that I have a distinctive style as I feel that I have more of a shotgun style - but I always try to give the image what it needs to tell its story or to contribute to the theme.
      Again, thanks very much.

Thanks very kindly. Sometimes, when I take an in-game image, I'll already have a plan to "enhance" it.

I really like the effects you've used, especially on that north-sea shot. The framing on so many of these shots is so great! And oh my grub, that oxygen tank shot. I feel you on that coding thing. I discovered this when I accidentally shotgunned a wall-mounted extinguisher that burst and took out two raiders that were inches from killing me. And then, there's that oxygen tank launcher in that little hut (I think its an aeroplane's fuselage?) that becomes a fun little time-sink every time I wander across it.

    Brilliant set overall! :D

Interesting choices of images to highlight. Those are two that I've wanted to find a place to use for quite some time. I did use a portion of the North Sea image here but I wanted to redo it and finally got an image that I really liked. Glad you like it too.
I've seen explosions of extinguishers and tanks before but this one behaved differently. Instead of exploding with a big bang, the gas acted like a propellant sending the unexploded tank bouncing around the room like letting letting go of an air filled balloon rather than popping it. Is that how that oxygen tank launcher works? I've seen it before but never really figured out how to launch the tanks. Anyway, I've wanted to post that image for a while.
Thanks very much for the kind words.

The walk through the history of your characters and screens is wonderful, but the details of your screens is awesome (don't care if it's an outdated word ) Thanks so much for sharing some of the mechanics of your work along with the beautiful collection. I've been lucky enough to follow a large part of Isolde's story and have enjoyed your sharing of it immensely, even playing with photo programs to see how close I can come to a few of these. You have the eye of an artist/photographer that gives you the view that brings these to life. Isolde's art gallery is going to need another annex.

I am very happy that you enjoyed it. I don't use an enb so nearly all of the transformation of the images is done in Photoshop. I'm not sure if any of the images demonstrates a single technique as there are usually multiple layers laid on top of each other but maybe some of the mechanics are apparent.
"The Holidays" are a busy time in R/L but I'm hoping to get back on track with Isolde's Story as things calm down. I'm flattered that you are using my images for models.
I've always been a frustrated painter and a fairly decent photographer but the digital age had been a boon to me. There are still a couple of shacks around Sunshine Tidings that could be cleared out and I'm looking at some mods to build something a little bigger from scratch (maybe in Sanctuary).
      Thanks for your support.

Thank you very kindly. It did take some time to put this together. Thanks for appreciating it.
It has been quite a year for community art with vronykah's mod and these community events.
