Thanks Denzel - I did it a couple times in my Skyrim story as well. All my characters have a wolf or dog companion when its an option.

This was awesomley written Jon! Really like this episode. I was so excited follow the story line in Dogmeats perspective.
In fact, I think this can tell a lot of from the author, who is able to wrote in such lifelike and great way in a canine view. ^^
Suprised they were able to take down Mac. I'm sure they will regret. :)

Thanks very much Lidi! I have no idea how dogs actually think or process things but I do my best to mimic it from my dogs own behavior.

I really enjoyed reading the story from dogmeat's perspective. I always considered him to be a full-fledged character in your stories, so it is nice to see his full intelligence and perseverance on display. Your writing is really building up the anxiety and pressure for what is to come.

Glad you enjoyed this somewhat different view point for the story as Dogmeat watches, plans, and tries to help his buddy Mac. I try to highlight, as well, that he is not your everyday normal mutt ;)

Thanks Patrick. I like to write from that view point now and then. Did the same with Wolfgar in Skyrim.

I caught the earlier chapters but didn't have time to leave comments, but I want to say I've been enjoying your tale here, Jon. Reading this and seeing Dogmatey going through his paces reminded me of a novel I read years ago about a genetically engineered Golden Retriever by the name of Einstein written by Dean R. Koontz called Watchers (great story, btw, the movie version was very subpar). The story revolves around loyalty, love and ethics, and in the case of the antagonist called The Outsider, the misuse and abuse of technology.

Great shots and read and really looking forward to the next installment.

Thank you FBC. That book sounded so interesting I just went and added it to my wish list to pick up later. Not my usual genre but love the idea behind it so figured I would give it a try.

Glad you are enjoying the story!

An amazing entry being told from Dogmeat's point of view. Loved it.

Thanks much Cormell. I used to write a lot from Wolfgars view, a wolf character in Skyrim, half-brother to my main character Grim. it can be fun.

Thanks James! It's only going to get more intense :-)

Next chapter is almost done. Chapters 4 and 5 will be the heart of the story. Then chapter 6 for the epilogue and aftermath.

Thanks much for following this far as well GTFOMD :) Few more chapters to go although I am working on the story line every night. Putting in 2-3 hours a day minimum (usually more) as once I get going on these things I tend to lose the ability to focus or concentrate on anything else till I finish.

GO Dogmeat!! He's a star, and I love your shots of him in this, and seeing things through his thoughts and eyes. Those lousy, rotten to the core gunners...I hope they pay and pay. This has really got me going, so exciting that all I can do is react and wait for more! I had to go back to get better looks at the screenshots because I just had to read before anything else.

Tilt Brae in, he wants to kick some gunner ass!

Thanks for the comment and for Brae for offering to help kick some gunner butt :)

I suspect I will be getting out the chapters without too much delay since I am so wrapped up in it and want to work on it while desire and motivation is so high.

Glad you are enjoying the story!

Very much love the way this story is going,...Quite the situation dogmeat has found himself in,.. and not to mention how it must be for Mac,..
Your description of the thoughts and behavior of dogmeat are really very good, convincingly also.
The images are cool ,.. love the one where dogmeat climbs up that very steep steel wall,.. great angle on that one
Love the dark and sombre atmosphere of the last series of pics,.. a bit foreboding for the news dogmeat bears with him,...

Thanks very much Windy! Ah poor Mac. The downside to being an author is the pain you put your beloved characters through. He will hate me as will Fenn and Dogmeat :p But hopefully all will stay through the whole story to see that some of this is very important and needs to happen.

Dark shots are always hard to do I find - especially if not seen full size or if someone's monitor tends to the darker side (like my work ones). But I wanted to give some of that somber feel you mentioned as well. Luckily traveling at night isn't a huge issue for Fenn or Dogmeat as both can see the infrared wavelength and have excellent night vision.
