Out of curiosity (since I know virtually nothing about modding), what work is in between making it equippable in-game versus publishing on the Nexus?
I don't doubt your assertions given the size and quality of your work portfolio here, but my amateur eyes see a picture of something that works in game and basically looks ready to upload (still images can be such verbose liars though, given that a picture is worth a thousand words!).
So if you say that it's "too much work", I must assume there's a bunch of hassle that we can't see from these pictures between what exists and a potential public mod. So, I'm wondering what the hassle would look like, and asking as someone who basically only knows how to install mods, not make them.
I'll try and answer this to the best of my abilities but keep in mind I have never made a mod for Fallout 4 only Fallout New Vegas. Seeing as the feathers are ingame and this isn't a picture of 3dsmax or nifscope the brute of the modelling is done, all I can see needing to be done is adding it to crafting stations like the chem station. How hard this would be I do not know but what I think she meant by saying it would be to much work is that there wouldn't be enough there to justify an entirely new file.
What Elianora probably meant is that it's too much work, as in, it looks playable in game. It can look great for screenshots...but it might not have proper weighting or it might have no physics added to it.
I'd have to make a male version, adjust it so it works with more hairs than just my one, make it craftable (I just spawned it with the console), pack the files, etc. etc. Just way too much work for a few feathers.
