Journal Entry 01
February, 24th 2287 0650hrs

It has taken me a little over 14 days to travel from Chicago to the Boston area. I knew this trip wouldn't be easy. Senior Knight Davies said otherwise, quoting him "Man, this trip will be easier then eating a happy pie." Never liked the guy, guess in the end his mouth got the better of him. I was glad they didn't issue us a hummer for the trip out here, it would of just created too much unwanted attention for us.
 
We've been cut off from the other Brotherhood for along time, which has been fine with me. Now with the rumors from our contacts, that there has been activity in the Boston area of a small group in Power Armour, command figured it could be the others, and decided to send recon out to investigate.
 
I've settled in a small area. Managed to square away some materials, and even managed to get a radio operational. Most of the gear we had didn't make it, which I'm sure I wont hear the end of it once I return to base.
 
Current supplies consist of hunting rifle, have few hundred rounds for that which is good, food to last several weeks, sleeping bag, 25 stimpacks and few other helpful meds, and the clothes I had to rip off some dead guy since my Armour took a rocket hit which pretty much immobilized it, which is a first time I've ever seen that happen to PA.  Guess it was just a lucky shot. Never the less I'm not fully geared out the way id prefer on a mission like this. Hopefully I can square away some gear from the locals in the area. Lets hope they're civil and who knows maybe get a few mutants to join in, they'd come in handy as I seen some of the mutants from home kick some serious butt, not to mention the trained ghouls we have enlisted with us.
 
I will contact base once I can get a generator going. Lets hope the signal will be strong enough to reach the Chicago area....
