Now this isn't "exactly" what I was hoping for when someone was going to attempt to make this mod because a POWER ARMOR version would've been probably easier if not better to do so, so that people can enjoy using the ZERO SUIT on the body for their character & then just jump in & out of the Power Suit for fun realizing they have a complete set.
Though I have to give credit at least SOMEBODY is willing to jump out here and even make an attempt on doing a mod of this extent because let's face it most of the mods that come out are usually visuals, more weapons, or more armors that are usually simple things or ones with high end graphic looks to them, BUT THIS MOD-----IF the it eventually gets the arm cannon working properly & IF the author can handle trying to make this suit work like it should from the original METROID games then yeah this will be a freakin' solid point!
LAST POINT; AUTHOR, if you're having issues because this armor is a REGULAR armor when many people are saying it's possible to do this as a POWER ARMOR, I would much rather see that since it would sound much easier on you, you'd also have more people around you to help out or willing to help out, AND on top of it I WOULD ENDORSE THIS & VOTE for you------- Nay, if I can and I actually see results I'll see what I can do to donate as well. Cause a actual working METROID POWER ARMOR, used to make a Vault MEAT, Samus Aran wearing the ZERO SUIT & using her power suit as a POWER ARMOR is like... the most Nostalgic IMPRESSIVE thing you can do in Fallout, especially since with all the TECH going around all over the wasteland isn't it amazing to see a person from MANY different planets to take an interest in EARTH after it's had a post apocalyptic event?
I hope you don't think it's fallout 4? It is a 3D render using 3DS Max Mental ray , a simple skydome and an HDR Image. Plus a lot of reflective textures.
It's impossible to make this kind of weapon out of a vanilla weapon due to lack of proper animation. I tried with different weapons but the problem is that all weapons are linked to the right hand and the canon is suposed to be rigged to the foream, meaning as soon as you move your hand with the weapon the canon goes out of its socket as if it was attached to the wrist and not the arm. I'm not even talking about clipping.
Wow I'm impressed! I had always dreaded someone doing something like this fearing it wouldn't translate to a "real" armor visually very well and end up looking more like someone photoshopped a pic of Samus into FO4 but this is beautiful! I would suggest maybe a little less saturated and "worn" version if you do release this, but that's just my 2 cents lol, amazing work!
