That is...
Honestly, my heart stood still!
No more words than just Thank you!
I know you're a veteran at this kind of thing, so it means a lot that you dig it...
I’m totally flattered by that...
Well it’s definitely sets like yours that showed me how you can make awesome stories with this game, and that there are people who will appreciate them.
I still hope he's not dead though ^_^
Yeah you never know, maybe he made it...
It didn't take as long as you might think, I definitely agonized over Marowski part 3 way more.
All those damn settler/family poses were a pain though. I took all kinds of pictures of them because of the trouble i went through to get those, but realized that the story wasn't about the cute close-up of the father/daughter shoulder ride... yeesh. Luckily I'm a good editor at the end of the day ;)
I'm pretty happy with how this was received overall, better than any of my others. You can only expect so many views when there's no T and A, especially when you replace T and A with a grizzled old man trying to save children...
Glad you enjoy, cheers!
Question: how do you capture the large portrait shots? I realize they're the same resolution just rotated 90-degrees, but how do you get them in-game? Do you rotate the camera to take the shot, and then rotate the image later in post? Your comics/storyboards have inspired me to attempt something of my own, and I'd love to know how you manage to do that.
Glad you enjoyed it. Always nice to get such feedback... :)
The verticals are done with a f4se plugin called “freefly cam” by kingeric. It was originally an enb plugin, so he has it posted over on the enb forums. Definitely a great tool.
Cheers! Good luck with your project!
It's what all the cool kids use...
The lone wanderer was hiding in the house on the right as the rust devils were killed by Hitgirl. And after she walked round the corner he quickly ran out, set up a bipod and posed.
She turned around to check what the noise was and only saw a puff of smoke where he ran.
Yeah it is pretty time consuming, but I just do a little here and there when I’m motivated, and that’s enough.
The way this game makes it possible to stage just about anything is pretty satisfying, and with a little practice the positioning gets pretty easy. The time consuming part comes with trying to get it all to look convincing or the different ways you have to game certain aspects of it to do something that could be simple with a little more built in interface.
Anyway, thanks for looking!
Glad you enjoy them!
Unfortunately the movie got cancelled due to budget constraints and creative differences with the director, we’ll have to make do with the story boards...
