This is an image from a FO4 mod I'm working on called Weapon Addition and Replacement Suite (WARS).

The vanilla "Submachine Gun" art assets are... well, I won't mince words; they're somewhat misshapen, inaccurate and ugly. Fortunately, sgtbarney kindly contributed some much better - and much more true-to-life - meshes for me to include in WARS, replacing the vanilla SMG assets. I adapted them for use in FO4 (making some minor changes and additions in the process) and gave them some textures.

Just trying something new with the Silver Submachine Gun skin here; the painted wood parts specifically. I wasn't perfectly happy with it, and the brown wood being visible in places beneath the worn paint did disrupt the silver and black colour scheme a bit.

So now it has another coat of silver-grey, somewhat shiny paint beneath the black layer. I'm still not sure about it, but I think it does look better than before.
