So they'll either be carried on the hip when equipped and holstered or you're creating an accessory piece that hangs from the hip. :)

  Gonna be the former, and the clip will essentially be a holster, so you'll have the clip visible on your hip sans lightsaber when you have the saber out. There's gonna be 2; the one shown in this image and a Covertec clip that will be used by the prequel hilts (and a few of the non-movie hilts).
