Yeah, this is how 7.62 caliber conversion will look like :) And yes, Service Rifle Redux will require Nuka World DLC. However, there are some issues with it right now, so there is a small chance that this variant won't be included
i really love the design and i hope it comes out soon but i have one concern. How much damage is it going to deal? i love the bozar but i never use it because the damage is just waaay too low (i am level 281). Maybe a damage modifier would be a good idea. anyway, i am very excited :D
Okay... no offense, but i like deadpools mods because they fit right into the game. A damage modifier kinda breaks that. I use "brutality overhaul" to get rid of the bulletsponges.
Will the service rifle (M16?) and assault carbine (M4?) still be 2 separate guns? Because I didn't really like in the past iteration that they had such a disparity customization-wise. Anyway great work and very detailed model, can't wait to combine it with AmmoTweaks 2.0!
One idea I suggest is much like how you keep your unique weapons as separate items from their original counterparts, you do the same here between the Service Rifle that uses the pre-war era gun parts and the handmade post-war era parts. The Pre War Service Rifles being rigged to spawn with higher level NPCs, Gunners, the Minutemen, etc. As the handmade versions being used by the Raider gangs, high-leveled Settlers, and maybe even the guards for Diamond City Security.
And change the 9mm receiver to 10mm ammo. The 10mm pistol and its ammo type needs some more love, and the .38 round has plenty of guns that support is ammunition type already - or make a patch for your 9mm pistol for this mod to use the exact same ammo as that gun can.
I love the 9mm receiver idea, I'm playing survival with the 9mm pistol and the ammo is super common if I could have a pistol caliber carbine in the same caliber that would be golden
One variant of this weapon featuring its Pre-War gun parts would be used by groups such as the Gunners, Diamond City Security, Caravan Guards, Railroad Agents, etc. While the Makeshift variant chambered in the 7.62 for Raiders and maybe the Minutemen when they start popping up, as Settlers would get the Makeshift variant in the 9mm receiver model.
this project exceeds my expectations more and more, without a doubt it will be a new level for the scene, hopefully the conversion 7.62 can make its appearance without major mishap, however I have a little doubt, will there be a different low receiver (and mags ) for each caliber? What I mean is that if we will see this same idea with all the other calibers, box magazines for pistol ammo or .308 magazines ar-10 style? keep the good work dawg
There won't be .308 caliber. Mags can be customised only with 5.56 and 5mm receivers. Rest will have mags hard-attached to receiver mesh, similar to WastelandMelody's Service Rifle SMG receiver
Don't suppose we've got a projected final file size do we? I'm on xbox so am severely limited by the 2GB mod limit that we have. JUst want to make room for this so when it is released i can download it straight away. On a side note. Every image you've posted looks amazing!
Really looking forward to when the redux is finally released! One or two people already asked, but, seeing as you haven't specified the problem, I'm also curious. What kind of issues is this variant having? Perhaps someone will be able to help resolve it if you specify what it is. There are a lot of people that are looking forward to this mod. I've even noticed several other modders tracking the progress. I'm sure that someone might be able to help if you are struggling to fix the issues yourself. I'm personally not a modder, but I can assure you that the community has your back! Thank you for your hard work!
Mainly, is how animations will work. This is kinda hard to explain in short, but Shiny can help with it. The most major issue was that mags unequiped from lower receiver when it was changed. Now, unequip issue is solved, and caliber convertion will function like WastelandMelody's 10mm Service Rifle receiver, but without unequip issue
