HELLO Wasteland v2.6
Halfbreed's Enemy, Loot, and Livelihood Overhaul

v2.6 update notes
TL;DR: New/revamped vendor loot lists. Edited HtV81_03 for Tina fix. Edited/fixed lvl 4 special vendors. Multiple fixes (mine or Bethesdas)

LOOT

  • + Loot should have better distribution across the board (should still be extremely low)
  • + Vendors of all types/persuasions have had their loot lists totally revamped.
  • + Altered some vendors (such as in the Galleria) who would normally not have 'traded' since the war to have more pre-war related items.
  • + Fixed lots of weird, weird, weird bugs (that caused me no end of stress) in bethesda's default code/settings for shops/Vendors.
  • - Bullets are now sometimes insanely difficult to come by. Sorry, guess you need to build some ammo stations or hit up Drumlin Diner. :)

TRADING IS BACK IN THE WASTELAND!
Expect to see extremely different loot lists depending on the day! This breathes a bit of life into 'trading' and 'checking shops' as EVERY vendor will rotate stock according to traders/etc (or at least that's the idea)

  • > AVERAGE: Default loot, default caps (This is your day-to-day type setting)
  • > RECENT TRADER: Double loot, minimal caps (caps were spent on new stock, but lots to buy!)
  • > TRADER OVERDUE: Minimal loot, maximum caps (stock nearly empty, but lots of caps available!)

VENDOR FOCUS
Vendors have been crazy updated, tweaked, and 'made interesting'. No really!

  • > All Vendors now have a wider selection of shop-specific items, many times regardless of your level/etc.
  • > Junk and farm vendors mostly focus on bartering, so will have a wider selection of items on hand, and fewer caps
  • > Other vendors will tend to have narrower lists, but more caps.

SPECIAL 'LEVEL 4' VENDORS:

most now have appropriate loot lists, and (probably temporarily) 24/7 job assignment to keep them from wandering off also, I have made them all 'protected' at this time, to help with some bugs (and lots of non-sensical, random, off-screen deaths) when travelling/etc.

  • > Vault-tec Rep [MISC] (Script Edit: Proper loot list, now 'Protected')
  • > The Scribe [ARMOR] (Script edit: Fixed loot list)
  • > Anne Hargraves [CLOTHING] (Script edit: Fixed loot list, made protected)
  • > Trader Rylee [MISC] (Script edit, loot list includes 'prewar+vault stuff', now protected)
  • > Ronnie Shaw [WEAPONS] (As above, she was kind of okay as-is, mostly has weapons, especially energy ones)
  • >^^^^^ BIG FIX! Doc Anderson [DOCTOR] (script edit: now properly works on level3 doctor shops, upgrading to level4)
  • >^^^^^ BIG FIX! Ron Staples [BAR] (Script edit: properly works with Bar shops now, was previously 'misc' shops)
  • >^^^^^ BIG FIX! Smiling Larry [Weapons]  (script edit, quest edit, protected, etc)
  • >^^^^^ BIG FIX! Tina De Luca [MISC] (Script edit: Fixed loot, should now have 'prewar+chems' loot for sale, made protected,) FIXED QUEST!!!
  • >vvvvv NOT CHANGED: Parker Quinn [BAR] - As far as I can tell, he's a glitched up copy of Ron Staples, but has nothing involved with recruiting him. I'm going to leave him alone for now because he seems entirely borked. (Flagged for fix/creation later)
  • >vvvvv NOT CHANGED: Holt Combes [?] - Even though my buddy sent me a pic of the guide, this guy doesn't have anything set up for 'special vendor status' (Flagged for creation later)
  • >vvvvv NOT CHANGED: Sheffield [?] - Looks to be practically begging for use as a legendary barkeep, but has no built-in legendary vendor scripts at this time. (flagged for fix/creation later)

ANIMATIONS/JOB STATIONS
  • + Did a quick bounding/collision pass on most stations that seemed to have worst problems.
  • - Reduced available animations for each job station down to two.
  • / Recreated all job station work markers to make sure they followed proper conventions
  • / Edited all job station work markers to force AI to prefer to enter from behind (huehuehuehue)

BUGS SQUASHED

  • + Raiders should now have 'normal' inventory/equipped item lists (No more level 1 raiders with full metal armor!)
  • + Vendors with too much or too little inventory have been fixed (ESPECIALLY YOU, TRASHCAN CARLA!)
  • + New quest change/edit for Tina De Luca to allow proper hiring and resolution of 'good' ending for quest 'Dependency"
  • + Multiple edits to make legendary vendors more likely to make it (and survive too) to their assigned settlement
  • + Script edits to Smiling Larry to allow proper hiring (Still needs a new encounter, as Automatron DLC basically breaks him. May need to create something new)
  • + Fixed a bunch of weird bounding issues that were causing problems both for the AI, and the workshop UI (Fusion munition stations were especially bad)
  • + Created maybe 100 or so new bits and bobs (like leveled lists) to make HARDtIMES work better as a whole and to be more compatible with other mods. (Remember kids: Please inject, don't override!!!)
  • + Added weird stuff, like lvl 4 doctor (legendary vendor) chests because there wasn't one before.
  • + Minor edits to the Concord crew to HOPEFULLY make them more usable in Sanctuary (work schedule changes, etc
