    Having taken Buproprion before, I can tell you that you need some downsides. It absolutely kills your working memory, so possibly it should reduce Intelligence to simulate that. Sure, you might be happy, but you're going to feel stoooooooopid.

    Also, for DMT, it would be cool to have the primary hallucinogenic affect only last 5 game minutes (at 30 timescale, around 10 seconds of real time), slow time to 1% so that it seems MUCH longer, and make the visuals so strong that you can't even see, let alone engage in any combat. The rest of the effects would then just be the "afterglow".

    It would be hilarious and incredibly accurate. Imagine, while Mama Murphy is yammering on about "The Sight", you just back up a few steps and take a toke of the DMT, watch the wild lightshow for a while (it should be auditory too, if you can manage it), have all manner of experiences... and then come back down and Mama Murphy is still talking about the exact same thing as when you started!
