Fallout 4

This guide covers how I used custom, hidden Zap Sliders to quickly resolve a lot of potential clipping issues in outfits that cover larger parts of the skin. I especially use this to hide the feet in shoes.
I assume in this guide you already know the basics of Outfit Studio.
Please also note this Miniguide is intended for people wanting to make their own conversions. If you are just a user of my mod you don't have to bother at all with this.

1. Load up your project
2. Select the reference shape in the shape list (displayed in green)
3. use the "mask vertices" tool to mask any areas of the mesh you want to be hidden when building the body with bodyslide. It might help to switch the other meshes to be invisible or show as wireframe.
4. When done with masking all parts you want to zap away select "brush -> invert mask"
5. Select "Sliders -> new Zap Slider" and give it a unique name (it might be helpful to use the same name in all your outfits, so you can make a custom presets that unhides them for testing purposes)
6. Select the slider you just created with the pencil icon in the slider-list (usually all the way at the bottom)
7. Select "Sliders -> Properties"
8. Enter 100 for the default value. This makes it so the selected part is always zapped away. Also check "hidden" to hide the Slider from the user.
9. Save your project

When you now build the outfit in BodySlide the selected parts aren't included in the output nif, and thus can't cause any clipping issues anymore. This is in a lot of cases faster and better looking than crushing the base mesh or inflating the outfit mesh.
You obviously can use the same technique to make your own custom zap sliders for your Conversions.
