INTRODUCTION:

Melee Lock-On allows you to lock on to enemies during melee combat in order to make them easier to hit and remove the frustration of missing at close range.

There are two ways in which you can lock on to an enemy. The first is via a customisable hotkey, which you can set to any key you want (it's set to "C" by default). The second method is by using a "Hotkey Token", which will be added to your inventory after you install Melee Lock-On. This item must be used via a hotkey in order to activate the lock.

The lock will be deactivated under any of the following circumstances:
- You equip a ranged weapon
- You move too far away from your target
- You lose sight of your target
- Your target dies
- You tap the hotkey again (either the customisable one or the one assigned to the hotkey token)

You can open the options menu by clicking on the hotkey token in your Pip-Boy, or by holding down the customisable hotkey for 0.8 seconds. In the options menu, you can:
- Add or remove the hotkey token from your inventory
- Remap the customisable hotkey
- Disable the customisable hotkey

If you want to change the range at which you can lock on to an enemy, use the following console command:
set LockOnTargetDistance to x
Where "x" is the maximum distance between the player and the target (256 by default, should not be set to larger than 512)

If you want to see what value is currently being used, use the following console command:
Show LockOnTargetDistance
