Black_Fire; I don't think this mod is comp with broken steel. I am not sure, but if it does not adress level 20+ I would assume it causes error. You may use arwens XP reducer. It is comp with broken steel.

    READ THIS TO INSTALL HER REDUCER (scroll down to the EXP reducer);

Thanks for pointing out this mod, I'll try it for my next playthrough.

Still, I endorsed Slower Levelling, I've used it a lot in the past and it deserves the recognition.

I had no problem with this Slower Levelling mod and Broken Steel. In fact I use this with Level 50 mod, and Alternate Level Perks mod. Arwen's mod approaches the problem differently, by nerfing various XP but is insensitive as it's purely balanced on Normal Difficulty - so you'll find it too "easy" if playing on higher difficulties. This mod takes the opposite approach, simply increasing the XP milestones required to level up, and tweaking a few factors to compensate, and actually removes the extra XP gained when playing on hard and very hard difficulty settings - so is not so easy. My load order is Level 50, Alternate, Slower Levelling.

I'm not sure this is working. In my vanilla game, right at the beginning at the birthday party, I need 200xp to level up. I install the very slow option, and I still need 200xp.

Some XP gains are scripted in quests, such as when you leave Vault 101 at the beggining of the game. For a mod to change scripted XP gains it would mean changing each quest that grants XPs in such a way, which is not only a lot of work, but it will probably be a nightmare for compatibility issues with other mods that edit the same quests.

Hi everybody, just a hint if you want to remove the mod to came back to normal rate leveling but be stuck.
With the mod i have accumulated more than 105000 xp which is nearly 2 time more than the normal max, so i level up to level max 30 and i am 27.
    Best solution :
use the command rewardxp -XXXXX to remove the some xp, To test for me i remove 45000 xp and i come back to approx 60000xp so just after level 28.
The first xp gain permit to level up to 28 and come back in normal situation.

You also can use use the command console advlevel to force the levelup, but without removing xp you will level up in chain, for me to the level 30 as 105000 is above the max (approx 66000).

As much as I love the idea of this mod, reading through all the comments has been a foreboding experience. I am over the dreaded level 20 issues many have had (level 22) and I activated this mod while I was on the cusp of hitting level 23. The problem for me is that I keep randomly crashing to desktop, with a message saying that "Windows has encountered a problem... blah blah". Since this mod was last updated 4 years ago, I'd like to ask any of you current users if the initial problems you had with this mod have been addressed. I'm hoping the error is on my part, but everything was fine till I added this mod.

I think the slowest mode super duper extreme it is not so slow at all. It only raises the xp needed to level up for about 2.5x times. For example, I was level 5, in vanilla I needed 2500 xp to advance to level 6, with super duper extreme LITE I needed 7000 xp to advance to level 6. It is not too much, but great mod anyway. Also, I use the lite version because I don't want to change the game mechanics, I just want to level up slower. Thanks for the uploader.

Extra, i reach the leve 27.5 in finishing all the game.
Firstly, i put very slow 3/4 lvl because i put it late, and finish the game with slower.
I have just a small problem, like Silver1138. Now i can't revert to vanillia rate or slow version because my total xp reach the level up cap and all new xp gain is blocked.

    Warning.SPOILERS.

Although your mod is great, you used the wrong formula for calculating the XP necessary.
"The experience points required for level n can be calculated from the equation 25(3n + 2)(n - 1)." see hxxp://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Leveling

    You used instead:
XPN = 200(n-1)+ iXPBump(n-1)(n-2)/2 which is correct ONLY for vanilla game (iXPBump=150). By modifying only the XPBump you got only ~92%-93% of total XP when advancing a level.
    ------------------------------------------------------------
    To be more concise:
To get to lvl 20, with XPBump=300 (2 times slower leveling) you get only 55100 XP instead of 29450x2=58900, which means ~93%.
With 25x2x(3n + 2)x(n - 1) you get the correct amount of XP.
So, for 1.5 times slower you need 1.5x25x..., for 3.5 times slower you need 3.5x25x... and so on.
    ------------------------------------------------------------
    Thanks for the mod anyway.
    Cheers.

    How to best put this...
There is slow leveling, then there is slower leveling, then there is this mod...dead-stop leveling! I don't know if I'm doing it wrong but first time I put in the third slowest leveling .esp (extremely slow) and my XP gain pretty much froze! Now I have it on just "slow" leveling and its STILL barley moving on the XP bar! I installed this at first because I was already level 17 and I still had to get through Anchorage, The Pitt and Broken Steel before Lvl. 30. I've now beaten The Pitt and trying to finish up the main campaign and I'm still Lvl. 17! What the hell does it take!?

Its been asked a few times but I havnt seen an answer (unless I missed it) Does this, or can you make it, support levels past 20? What about if its used with the mod that gets rid of level cap?
