Vault-Tec Industries proudly presents the new and improved Pipboy 3000.a -- providing you never before seen display space for those dearly coveted 50's pin-ups.
oh. ummm... a word about that option #5. Some time back we had a temporary security breach at our main factory and a handful of Raiders broke in. It seems they slipped a photo of their wild, blood crazed "girlfriend" into the production line and a few unauthorized Pipboys came out with that aberration on them. Let me state emphatically this one is NOT a Vault-Tec authorized product, but since they were already made, we decided to include it in this batch.

All 5 image options are in one download file, so you can easily change them to suite your mood. A note about light - when you raise your arm to look at your Pipboy, the view is totally dependent on the time of day and your orientation to the sun. If there is too much glare on an image, or it's too dark, just turn ΒΌ and look again, it's amazing the difference it makes.

Installation:
IMPORTANT!
If you have used one of my other Pipboy mods, please add one more line shown below to your ArchiveInvalidation.txt because this mod is now using Nopheros outstanding HDR Pipboy which includes a hi-rez glove.
Unpack the zip file.
1) If you don't already have a file called ArchiveInvalidation.txt, copy this one to your Fallout 3 folder. If you do have one, copy the following text and add it to your existing. Once you've done this you are set for whichever image you choose to use, you do not need to change your ArchiveInvalidation.txt again.

2) In the directory where you unpacked the mod you will see five folders titled Pipboy 1 through Pipboy 5. Each folder has a .jpg image so you know which 50's pin-up you will be loading. Copy the entire Textures folder from the directory you choose to your Data folder inside the Fallout 3 one.
If you want to change your pin-up, just copy another Texture folder into the game Data folder, overwriting the previous.
3) If you haven't already, go to the folder C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\My Games\Fallout3 and edit FALLOUT.ini and change the line "bInvalidateOlderFiles=0" to "bInvalidateOlderFiles=1".
Load up Fallout 3 and you should be ready to go!

Uninstall
Delete the Data/Textures/pipboy3000 folder
Delete the following entries from your ArchiveInvalidation.txt file:

Nopheros outstanding HDR Pipboy is now the frame for my images, his treatment of the original Pipboy still stands as the best. Thank you Nopheros for allowing the mod community to so freely use your work.

Conflicts
Please be aware this mod absolutely WILL conflict with any other mod that changes the color of your Pipboy, or adds graphics to it like skykappa's excellent Nuka Cola Quantum Pipboy mod. However, it will not affect any of the user interface mods that change what happens on the screen.

v1.1 - High resolution and cleaner Pipboy introduced, with minor upgrade to the resolution of the pin-up images.
