Basically, this is a mod that makes The Family look much more like vampires, adds a new playable race, two new outfits and restyles one old outfit. The new Family have fangs, black clothing, pale skin, better hair and glowing red eyes. The new playable race also comes with these eyes, teeth and some hairstyles from the immensely popular "Hair Pack" mod. This also adds a quick entrance to the Family hideout, located in Meresti trainyard.
This mod also adds two new armors to the game. Gothique attire and Gothique longcoat. Vance still wears his own longcoat, but it's been modified to look more like an actual vampire's longcoat. An extra Gothique attire can be found on a table in the main hall, but taking it will count as stealing so be careful! And the Gothique longcoat can be found in Vance's safe.
If you want to change to the Vampire race without starting the game again; open your console (press the "~" button up top left hand corner of your keyboard) and type "Showracemenu". This will allow you to change your race and looks.
No, this isn't lore friendly, and no, I don't care. If you really want this to be lore friendly, just settle on the idea that they all mutated to look like vampires and Vance stumbled upon a crate of black suits.
To install, just dump the Textures, meshes and the .esp file into your Fallout 3 data directory and click "yes to all".
If you have not validated your archive invalidation settings, go into your Fallout3.ini, find archiveinvalidation and set it from "0" to "1". There's a mod that does it for you.
Then open Fallout 3, go into your "Data Files" thing and tick off the "Better Family" one.
Please note that this mod uses content from several other mods, I did not model or texture anything in this mod, I simply put it all together. If any of the authors of the mods I included have any objections, please contact me.
For everyone else, I will list the mods that I used to make this, none of these are required for this mod to work, but I strongly suggest you get them all anyway simply because they are all mind-bogglingly awesome.
