    Description
    ===========
This mod lets you use workbenches to straighten out Bent Tin Cans into normal Tin Cans. Because it's such a simple modification you don't even need a schematic. Just click on CRAFT then Straighten Bent Tin Cans and they'll all be straightened out before you know it.

Also, in this version, I've added the ability to craft Bobby Pins from Tin Cans. The "Schematic" can be found in the Gents loo (bathroom, if you're American) in the Anacotia Crossing metro station, near Rivet City. You get between 5 and 15 Bobby Pins per Tin Can, dependant on your Repair level.

I wanted to try out GECK scripting and a CRAFT mod seemed like a good place to start. I decided to focus on making little things to make the game better rather yet another type of weapon or armour. Any suggestions for new features would be gratefully recieved.

    well.... wth

    also perk code??

Great mod which solves the problem of not having a reliable source for bobby pins in a very clever and immersive way. However, I find 5-15 from a single can a bit much, considering the bobby pin shortage that I was experiencing before. 2-5 would be much more appropriate in my opinion, but yeah, I doubt this is going to be updated again after seven years.

But I should be able to make this change myself.

I've managed to change the scripts so the amount of crafted Bobby Pins depends on player character's Repair Skill level and is maxed to 5 Bobby Pins per Tin Can at Repair Skill level 100 and higher. I may not upload the changed *.esp file without the permission of the author, but hopefully I may share the edited scripts here, if anybody's interested.

Hi phonix316, I was making a mod that allow player to craft railway spikes from scrap metal. My mod is a modification of this mod. I would like to have your permission to upload it to nexus.

Thanks for this god-sent mod. Now finally I can utilize the bent tin by straightening them to make bobby pins. Thanks for the hard work and efforts in making this mod. Endorsed!

Hey I found a bug. I been using FWE for a while a and FWE CRAFT when clicking done simply leaves without saying the annoying "Thank you for using Workbench 3000" message . But after installing this mod that response came back as per original CRAFT! Ahhhh. I investigated and found there are a few more minor issues with this mod.

    TWO PROBLEMS:

It overrides the CRAFTCancel "done" dialogue with the response "Thank you for using WorkBench 3000"
    >> There is no need to do this as there should be only 1 done/cancel. The one implemented in the CRAFT dialogue is enough . This won't make any difference until you are using FWE or any mod that changes the done option and response. In FWE done is "<<<done" and there is no response. So by overriding this mod brings back the original.

    But even more troublesome:

The tin crafting option with response "Straightening..." has in fact the same FormID as CRAFTCancel "done"
    >> From my experience it choosing this option has the strange result of exiting the crafting menu altogether with the response "Straightening..." and quickly followed by a text box "you don't have any bent tin cans " if you don't have any tin cans to bend . I don't like this . I prefer that it tells me right inside the crafting menu .

I fixed this annoying message by erasing the CRAFTCancel override and changing the form ID of "bend tin cans" dialogue option. Now it does the same thing but it doesn't leave the menu and the Done button no longer says "Thank you for using Workbench 3000". If you don't have any tin cans now it simply tells me that but returns to the craft dialogue menu. ALMOST PERFECT!

Currently working on having no text box appear when no tin cans are present by having another dialogue option with a different response that appears when there are no bent tin cans.

This is for myself only as I don't have the permission to edit this mod. If anyone needs this simply edit it yourself. Use FO3Edit to make the above changes don't use GECK as it's annoying piece of garbage. I can make a fix that extends this as it is allowed. I am not allowed to distribute. I am posting this here for people to be aware of and make their own changes or for the owner of the mod to potentially fix this.

    Endorsed either way : )
    Thank you

An excellent little mod. Nothing overpowering, but makes all of those bent tin cans a wanderer finds useful. Endorsed.

Interesting little "wasteland tinkerer" mod. Nice job. Mods don't have to be huge overhauls or ground-breaking rewires to be good.
